This is my third time with replacing my brakes and its a real pain.

Mine judders so bad that it pulls to the right when slowing down.

I was about to upgrade to some new brakes when my warranty was up at 36k miles but now i have 100k miles to go!

Currently at 28k miles.

I just got my brakes done on Friday with only 2400 miles on my 4x4 LE. They re-surfaced the rotors and changed the pads.

When I spoke to the service guy he said that this was justa temporary fix and that Nissan is looking to bring in proper rotors and pads but they did not have any info as of yet.

He mentioned dthat it might take a couple of months. I hope to get some solid info soon on the situation.

My service advisor mentioned that the new fix would involve all four rotors being replaced. I was a little shocked at that as well. Up until recently I've been one of the lucky ones with no judder. Unfortunately my luck seems to have run out. I'm starting to detect a little shimmy when I stop.

Brakes

I took my truck in for the 1st time because of brake judder and they replaced the front rotors. Not the pads or calipers. They are thicker and should not warp from here on out. I love the 36 month unlim mileage! We should not have to worry about paying a single cent on our brakes for guite awhile.

Hello all, I hope that everyone is doing fine owning the Bad A$$ Titan. As for myself I have the Crew Cab XE. It is one Bad Truck, People ask me what kind of truck it is and with pride I tell them. It's kinda cool. Well I also had the Brake problem that everyone is talking about. And with the second time the dealership fixed it and with 16,000 miles on my Baby it stops on a dime with no problems, And yes I had an agravation with the whole ordeal I tried on getting a Loaner vehicle but the local Dealer said No dice....? So I made a few phone calls ( I am not supposed to tell, But really I didnt) and Matt (From the Nissan Of North America.... This is the part that I am not supposed to tell ) Called the local dealer and gotten me a loaner,(This is the # 310-771-5933 to Matt...SHSHSHSHSHSHHHHH) Well I hope that you all Enjoy......57ENDURANCE

More bad brakes.

Thanks Slurppie and 57!
Like Dula, thought mine was ok, but at about 9500 miles on smooth asphalt, I started to feel a little shimmy , now at 10500, shimmy has progressed to a judder condition, very obvious. No towing, heavy offroad, or any abnormal brake use on my Titan -- the brakes just went bad on their own!!

The new Claims Bulletin came just in time for me!

same here... brakes were fine... but then felt the shudder... and now starting to be a judder... i'll bring that letter with me when i go in incase they say "i dont know what you are talking about" but they have been good...

got a '04 SE and one of the bolts on my utilitrack system was stripped and now tightened all the way and i was too busy to bring it in so i took it in about 3 mos. later and my bed was full of snow and they fixed it no problem...

we'll see...

Got my new rotors yesterday but no new pads. These things are dribbling in slowely. When my new pads for front and rear plus new rotors for the rear come in, the dealer will install them and verify everything still good. These new rotors are great. No more mush or shake. My truck has never stopped like this. It can only get better when the new pads come in. The new parts are comming in slowely and the service managers are controlling who on the list gets them first. The worst is first. Funny thing, the new rotors are stored in the service managers office, they are like gold right now. He does say that they are told by May these parts will be available to all.

I talked to my dealership yesterday on the status of the TSB. He said that they are very aware of of the problem. I told him that mine is really starting to shake (even my wife noticed it). Basically he told to wait a couple of weeks and then call him. I asked about the current trend to resurface the rotors, he told me that right now Nissan can't even get any old style rotors out as a temp fix in case the old rotor is warped. Now I'm in a waiting mode.

Angry Brake Judder

I just got back from the dealer having my brakes done. 2005 SE 4x4 with Big Tow and only 4,200 miles on it! They resurfaced the rotors and replaced all pads. The service mgr told me the REAL fix is not gonna be out until July or August! I'm not too happy about that.

Is anybody else hearing this?

shmokin' - I have had the new real TSB for two weeks now and it is working very well. Brake feel is way better and it is almost startling to slow down and stop without shake. Others have been done at my dealership in Western PA. Don't know their results. Keep bugging your service rep. Buy him bagels. Send her flowers. That may get you moved up on the list.
