SWEET!

Geese, I havent been on here in awhile...

I just had mine fixed a couple of weeks ago. I hadnt noticed it much untill me and my woman traded vehilces for a couple of weeks (we are currently 1,000 miles apart ). When she brought it back to me, I was like WTF is with the brakes? I guess they had slowly warped and maybe I had just gotten use to it as they warped, a couple of weeks of not driving it sure brought it to my attention...

To those guys who's dealerships told them to wait. I cant believe they said that, brakes are a MAJOR safety issue, even if they have to re-do mine again, I didnt want to drive it anywhere the way the brakes were acting. I cant believe I let my soon to be wife have it for 2-weeks like that. The big ole heavy thing has enough trouble stopping when it needs too...

What happens if you get in a wreck while "waiting another month"? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen, dumb dealers...

Has anyone received this "Fix" yet or am I going back in for my third oil change and...oh yea, the third brake job?
i hear ya dj!!! i got the same BS, gotta go in and get mine re-surfaced again, because the perma-fix ain't in stock... how ridiculous!!! smooth braking for about 1000 miles and that thinner re-surfaced rotor is going to be warped again... what an inconvenience!

Little over 6K on my 04. Taking in for first time tomorrow (shouldn't have waited this long - thought my steering wheel was going to fall off yesterday.)

I asked dealer about the issue and they said they turn rotors and replace pads the first TWO times it happens, the third time they order the "fix". I am guessing this is because they have so many requests they can't fill them all, the temp fix may allow them to catch up.

Yea thats the same thing my dealer said also, actualy he said it has to happen 3 times. He said this is what Nissan has requested and I could call them myself and it would not matter. Unless you actualy screw up the rotors. I think I need to find a way to trash mine so I can get the right parts the first time. Any ideas on how to bust a rotor extreamly fast I would liek to bust mine as soon as I have problems so that I can get the right parts the first time?

he said, in HIS opinion, Nissan is doing this because they want to make sure the new kit works since they have already upgraded the kit twice unsuccessfully. In other words, he doubts the new kit will fix the problem anyways.

I dont think the new titans have the new rotors, just "newer" ones according to the guy I talked to they just got the parts last week. I know my titan has the olde rones but it stops very quickly and i have not had any problems yet, but I'm starting to wish I would so I could get them over with and get the new parts.

Just called my local dealer today. I told the service guy my problem, and inquired about their fix. He said that they were replacing the roters with the new ones. I said that this was the first time (with 3700 miles) and he said that was their fix. He did, however said they were back ordered because of demand. I asked how long, and he said "Oh, about a week.." As my jaw dropped, thinking that I couldn't even schedule the service that soon with my schedule...

I'd ask him for the part numbers of the new rotors he's ordering, and compare with the numbers posted in this thread to be sure they are indeed the newest generation rotors. My dealer told me end of May at the earliest, but it seems just about everyone is being told something different.
