went for the 2nd service 12K, dealer could not replace the rotor because they claimed they didn't have any in stock. they said they are waiting for the bigger rotor to come out in june and then i can have it replaced.
So my dealer tells me today that he will need the truck to diagnose it and then again to repair if necessary.....Freaking place is 25-30 miles from here.... So I asked if there is a known problem then he should have the parts in stock right!!!! Says no, gets them as needed....Freaking crazy.... Calling the owner to *****, he low balled me on the sale, now they bust my balls over a known problem... If the problem is something that is this frequent, they should have the parts. If its just a case of the parts not being avail because of demand, I am ok with that I can wait, but 2 trips sucks...My truck shutters like madd when stopping.....They also sounded as if they were not that up to date on the TSB as they had to fumble around for it and he was like, well we replace this, then changed etc.....Looks like I need a new dealer...
I called my stealer yesterday - explained the problem - he said the 1st week in May he will have the "new" parts.

When people say "clean as a whistle", they forget that a whistle is full of spit.
^ get the latest build date you can find. Someone on here said they drove one with the new brakes, so I guess they are out there...
But I wouldnt fret, there might not be tooo many out there. If you find the truck you want at the price you want, BUY IT! You wont regret it and if and when you have the problem, you'll just have to go back and get it fixed. My Titan went 15,000 miles before the brakes got terrible. If and when they go bad again, I'll get another set of free new brakes. Hopefully she'll make it another 15,000 before that happens again...
Happy Truck Hunting!

Well, wouldn't ya know it....Chris leaves me behind to deal with the dealer and the brake issue. Shortly after this was posted I started to get the judder AGAIN (3rd time on the 05), called the dealer to find out if they had the "fix" in. The service manager said they didn't have it in, but they we're going to put me on the priority list and to go ahead and bring it in so they could to the temp on it till the "fix" got in. Just one more thing to add the the overwhelming list of things to do. Does it ever stop.... Oh well I guess life goes on.

They told me that there was a process to the whole thing...I know it's BS, but what am I gonna do, same thing I'm doing with this air-intake that Chris ordered before he left and I have no idea what to do with it, or even what it suppossed to do. All I know about the truck, is it looks good, sounds mean, rides great and is a B**ch to wash!

Very,very true.
P.S. - The air intake will get you a couple more horse power + make the truck sound a little more mean when you stomp on it.

Went to a dealer in Groton, CT with the TSB. Was told "first time we turn them, 2nd time we turn them again, third time is the upgrade...but we don't have the parts yet". I'm going to try and find one that will just do the upgrade, (possible?) maybe Middletown.
By the way, hats off to all you members. My Titan was an emergency purchase, when my Frontier died on me on a business trip in Virginia. I Googled "Nissan Titan" and found this site. Read for 3 days and learned a ton, thanks! Got it from Hall Nissan in VA Beach for Edmunds recommended $26,400 w/drop in bed liner, non-sliding bed extender, and floor mats.
2005 Galaxy KC SE 4x4. Did Mobil1 0w40 today, and the rear diff fluid (Mobil1 75w90...screwed that up!, going to get 75w140 tomorrow and do it again!)

LOL! Well, it wasn't dead per se, had to add new plugs to get it going (80,000 mi). It was purchased used in 2002 with 40,000 (2001 XE KC, 4cyl manual) and was a work truck. I wasn't the best owner, if you know what I mean. Had to have the Titan and that was the excuse

lol well i used the same excuse. "man i have 160000 miles on it now, i better sell it while i still can, another year and it'll be over 200000." However every month when i make that payment i wonder what i was thinking. And then i go get in my titan and punch it and question answered.

I called the sales rep at my dealer and he said that they would do step one first, they set the parts aside for me....then if it continues, the do the second step.... Better then them taking the truck in, diagnosing and then needing the truck again to do step one....Nissan should just fix it right....BS that they have the correct fix, but have do to the procedures of turning etc...
My brakes are driving me NUTS, just got back from Houston this weekend and they were shaking the whole truck! argh.
How is the availability going on this issue now? I am going to call them today.
