That looks like the "temporary" fix as I don't see "rotors" on the parts list. I hope it holds up for you but my judder returned after just 1900 miles!!

Figured that much...
They told me to call back in two weeks for the full replacement parts
I havn't heard anything yet on my parts. My service guy told me me if I didn't hear anything by the 25th to call and he will call Nissan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Went to a dealer in Groton, CT with the TSB. Was told "first time we turn them, 2nd time we turn them again, third time is the upgrade...but we don't have the parts yet". I'm going to try and find one that will just do the upgrade, (possible?) maybe Middletown.
By the way, hats off to all you members. My Titan was an emergency purchase, when my Frontier died on me on a business trip in Virginia. I Googled "Nissan Titan" and found this site. Read for 3 days and learned a ton, thanks! Got it from Hall Nissan in VA Beach for Edmunds recommended $26,400 w/drop in bed liner, non-sliding bed extender, and floor mats.
2005 Galaxy KC SE 4x4. Did Mobil1 0w40 today, and the rear diff fluid (Mobil1 75w90...screwed that up!, going to get 75w140 tomorrow and do it again!)
Take care,
P
Mine goes in again on Friday and my dealer told me the same thing. I was told that Nissan mandates that the rotors be resurfaced two times before the final fix is done. I guess its a parts thing. I cannot understand why Nissan would do the work three times instead of fixing it once. How much will this all cost us with future purchases. I tend to try to be dealer loyal and get all work and purchases through the same dealer and until now I have been very satisfied but I am starting to rethink what Nissan is doing here.

slyckboy...I got my brakes done about a month ago with the 'permanent' fix and the brake dust issue is nearly gone...thank god, because it was beginning to drive me nuts.
Just got off the phone with my Dealer (Service Manager) and found that there was an announcement within the last few days regarding Titan Brakes. Seems like original supplier "screwed teh pooch" on the rotors (substandard material). Based on this, everyone who purchased a 2004 and early production 2005 (he couldn't remember the date that all new production included new rotors and pads) will get New Rotors and Pads---period. He wasn't sure if it would be a formal recall or just a "Campaign" where those who had problems would be taken care of at no charge. Warranty has been extended to 100k miles. "Campaign" does not include calipers. Vehicles produced prior to July 1, 2004 will also get new torque members and torque member bolts.
Having worked in the automotive industry for a long time, I know it will take a while for the pipeline to fill but new rotors and pads are coming soon to all dealers. then we can all go back to talking about haow many Fords or Chevys we passed.

Yeah, personally it is a major PITA for me to leave my truck at the dealer once, even for a single day. The thought of doing this three times to get Nissan's defective brakes fixed makes me crazy.

Is this 100,000 warranty you speak of on the new brakes? It must be, because the warranty on the original brakes has already been extended to 36 months and unlimited mileage as stated in the document at the beginning of this thread. A 100,000 mile warranty on the new TSB rotors would be nice, though.
I just got off the phone with the service manager. He said that they were having a problem getting parts, specifically rotors... He said that what they would probably do is replace the pads and turn the rotors until they can recieve parts. He also mentioned that Nissan was going to start manufacturing thier own rotors??
I am interested in buying a Titan possibly in the late summer/early fall. Does anyone know if the current Tiatns or the ones that will be on the lots at that time period will have the brake problem corrected? I want to buy a 2005 model.
