Will these Tires Fit OEM Rims?

I have the 18'' OEM rims on my LE. I want to put on Terra Grapplers.. will 285/60/18 work on my factory Rims ??

I don't see why not. Clearance may be another issue - you want to test fit that...

You'll lose a little sidewall height, going from a 265/70 to a 285/60 though...

265/70 = 185.5 mm sidewall - which equals 7.3 in (x2) + 18 in wheel = 32.6 in tire height (stock)

285/60 = 171 mm sidewall - which equals 6.7 in (x2) + 18 in wheel = 31.4 in tire height

Your new tires will be almost an inch wider, but more than an inch shorter...

lower, and your spedo will be up by about 5-7 mph
real fuel economy will go down (increased friction and more rev's per mile)

It will work, you just need full knowledge.

BTW, Clancey nice job on explaning the math. I see is wrong so many times.

tire size

...if they look like the 18's on the new f150, don't do it. thay look too low profile for a truck our size. go for the same sidewall size, maybe wider? jmho

The size you're looking for from bfg is 285/65/18. They will be pretty similar in size to what you have now. They usually run about $216/tire.
