New noise on start-up

Yesterday morning after starting my truck I had a loud tapping sound from the valve train. Apparently one of the lifters had bled down overnight and rapped for about 10 seconds until it pumped up with oil pressure. Also the engine was missing from that cylinder causing it to run rough, it smoothed out the same time the lifter pumped up, and the noise went away. Has anybody else had this happen to them?. I'm supposed to bring it to the dealer for the 5th time to have the brakes done next week, I'll mention it to them. I'm sure I will get the usual responce.

The 5.6 does not have hydraulic valve lifters, so it would be hard for one to bleed down. The overhead cam design is all mechanical. The noise came from somewhere else. You should tell the dealer, but you probably will get the "could not duplicate" response.
