hey now, don't be calling my truck maroon! lol its just a deep red instead of a bright red. But yea if you into racing stuff I kinda see your point. but then why not negotiate on the interior? or some other factor if color is your primary concern?

Then again I'm into racing too, not cars maybe. But I always sucks to have a flashy quad that is geting beat by stock looking ones with stroker motors. So for me I'll go with the looks stuff but only if the performance is there first. See quad in Avitar. The lighting kit I made really makes it stand out, but it is no fun when you stand out and are getting beat up the hill in a race! hehe. Good thing I do alot of winning now that that sucker is dialed in....

BTW, this is a link to when Quad was first told he couldn't have the truck he wanted. Just supplying info to those that are wondering why they say they can't build it.

Nissan makes me so #@&% mad sometimes...

TriK is right, I really need the dark interior, it will look soooooo much better.

Also, keep in mind guys I'm now driving a '95 XE-V6, and before that it was an 86.5 SE-V6; the conclusion you can draw here is I buy them and drive them for a decade. It is one thing to be bothered by a vehicle you have for 2 or 3 years, it is entirely another thing if something bothers you for a freegin decade...

On Friday I got a call from Nissan Consumer Affairs, they are doing two things.
1- Calling the Nissan District Manager to see if there is any truth to block builds and the Red Alert with Graphite/Titanium not being a buildable combination fir April.
2- Calling the slaesperson at the dealership to ask him where he came up with this info.

I think it is really funny this salesperson got a call from Nissan Consumer Affairs. My case worker said he was not in and she left a message for him, this was Friday. And hmmmmm, I have not heard from him yet...

According to what I'm being told, they should have a final answer for me on Tuesday, this is good because my second dealer option has old me the end of this week are when he can place orders.

Its good to hear that you seem to have gotten a Nissan rep that might actually care a little. Good luck. Hopefully you can place your order at the end of the week.

anytime you get NNA involved, some heads will roll at that dealership...
the dist mgr. will get ream'd a new buttocks as well. maybe thats the reason the salesperson is not answering...he's no longer there

2 things could happen, you will get 1st class "royalty" treatment....OR that dealership will HATE you, for in essence, telling on them to the "principal". nobody will want to deal w/ you. regardless of the matter at hand, whenever nissan corp has to contact a dealership over ANY customer issues/complaints, everybody in the dealership will know...they'll know who you are (good or bad?) and they will stress to you over and over about the CSI score (report card) you will leave them after your transaction.

I hear ya Geezus_Aach, and what makes it sadder is the man with the disinformation is not just a salesman, but the sales manager...

I'm hoping tomorrow I will get the final answer, but as of right now I am about 95% sure I will go with the other dealer. I just don't like how I have not been communicated with at all. It looks like this is the week, orders will be taken from this region the end of this week.

Wow, I really don't know, I have yet to meet him in person...

Based upon what you have been through, I suspect you have every right to poke fun...

I heard back from Nissan Consumer Affairs...

...and you will not believe it!

Dealer #2 was right. An order for a Red Alert with a Graphite/Titanium interior can be submitted, however there is a factory hold on these orders and no build date can be established.

The woman I have been dealing with at Nissan C. A. was initially thinking something was really wrong with the dealer. Now as they have confirmed the problem lies with manufacturing she is shocked and has assured me she will continue to investigate this situation.

So here I am, just as the Dealer had said, I can't get what I want right now.

Oh man Quad, really sorry to hear that. You can buy mine and repaint it...want it? Seriously, I know it's depressing...but if you are going to finance this sucker, and even if you aren't, you should get what you really want as you will be with it for 10 years. What I want is a picture of the grin you are going to have on your face once your truck finally arrives!!!

Does this mean you will buy from Hoselnuts? If so, tell me what you think of "Spot" as I like to call him.

Hey TriK, well truth be told, although this information does bite, the fact that Spot actually had the info sort of pushes the scale over to his side again. The other dealer still does not know about the build restriction...

And you are right, it will be one bigass grin when it shows up because I have no intention of getting anything other than what I want to order.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease...

Well all I can say is wow; I now have an order number...

It seems nobody really seems to understand why there is a build restriction on my color combo. When asked if I could get the graphite/titanium in everything but Copper I was told yes, and then they suddenly had no idea why the red alert had a restriction on it.

This particular dealer has been extraordinary, devoting a lot of time to the plant manager as well as consumer affairs. It seems they all decided to push an order through and see what happens.

I have been warned the line manager can still reject it, but as of now my truck has been ordered and the order has gone into the system.

Like I said, wow...
