Hi guys,
No I didn't get kicked out of the house

I'm heading down to the Smokies for a photo trip in a week. I'll need to get up reeeeeal early a few mornings and it's such a pain to tear down a tent at 4:30AM. I've been kicking around ideas on how I can sleep in the back of my Crew Cab - not in the bed, but inside the cab. First I tried laying down on the floor but there's not near enough room for my 6'2" to lay straight. Then I took out the underseat storage tray and that opened it up a bit, but still there is not enough room on the floor.
My last idea was to see if the front seats would fold flat (backwards, not forwards) and to my surprise, they did. See the pics I attached... Other than the big hole directly behind the center console there seems to be a decent amount of room - enough to lay down and fully stretch out! It's lumpy of course but I *think* it will work. There is a large drop-down in height to the bottoms of the front seats but as long as I can stay on the back seat and seatbacks of the front seats it would be good.
So I was wondering has anyone else done this? Thought about it? Tried it? What about that giant hole behind the center console? I'm still trying to come up with some way to make it more level and less lumpy. Maybe take some foam or blankets and wedge it into the low spots? Maybe I could use two pieces of plywood (one large one woudn't fit through the doors I don't think), attach some soft foam to both sides and lay it across the seats. Then I could store it in the bed (under my Advance cover) when not in use.
Thoughts or ideas? Or am I just nuts?!
Thanks
Patrick
