They are screwed into the lip of the fender and secured to the outside of the body with double sticky tape.

I would vote no because I don't think they do crap. I took my front ones off because they hung too low and I was afraid of destroying my body by hitting something. I still have the rears on, but that is just because I haven't taken them off. They do keep about 2" of the truck clean, but everything else will get coated in mud just like they never existed.

Save your money for a PRG kit!

they are put on with two adhesive strips and one screw through the sheet metal. Not worth it!! they fill up with mud very easily and at highway speeds they vibrate or wiggle and they will etch a line all the way through to the bare metal where the plastic contacts the sheet metal. Not good, I'm sorry I didn't rip mine off on day one!!

Another vote, No.

The double sided sticky tape doesn't last. The left rear didn't stop the right edge of the "secret compartment" opening from getting chipped by rocks...they are better than going with nothing.

Here's a "Yes" vote. No problems (11k miles) and they look good against the Red Brawn color. Definitely helps to keep road grime off paint.

Another Yes vote here. Somehow I don't think my truck would look right without them.

I say yes also, I have them on mine and they do help keep the mud off the sides of the truck. I had to restick one of mine the double sided sticky tape they use just doesn't seem up to the task.
I'll have to say though that loufish's truck looks nice without them.

I think the truck looks funny w/o them. Mine have held up great and they do help keep crud off the trucks sides. So..yes!

I guess I'll be the hot-dog now and say "it depends on how you use your truck." If you think you're robby gordon like I do, then rip 'em off. If you are concerned about water spray from the tires on your "22s" then you'd better get 'em.

I like the looks, so I say yes.

If I was offroading, I'd say no, they would get broken off and do more damage than good.

Wow, I am surprised that they actually do anything for some of you. In my experience, 2-3" of clean paint before the mud/road grime starts showing on the paint does not justify the $100 cost for the things. And that was prior to my PRG front & rear lift. Now that I have even more tire exposed to the paint, the flaps I still have on the rear do even less to protect the paint.

Actually, my LE had them on the truck from the factory(freebie). They do help keep the truck cleaner.
