Well I have finally put an end to lurking and joined the small select crowd.
First impressions/experiences of being a Titan owner.
1. It seems like everyone is looking at you.
2. Got waved to by the first fellow Titan owner I seen and two other non-Titan truck drivers. Good feeling.
3. Bad feeling....100 miles on truck so far....around 10 a-holes have pulled out in front of me.
4. Washing the roof is a chore....and I am 6'7". I really appreciate the room. First vehicle that I have been totally comfortable in.
5. Looks mf'n sweet when its shined up nice.
6. Can't wait till I get my stereo installed, power/ground wire upgrades, sound deadening, step bars, bug shield, weatherflectors, debadge the side.....that's all I have planned.
7. One complaint.......the power sliding rear glass rattles. Will have to get that fixed. No biggy....was expecting it.
8. I don't think that I have the new brake fix, but the dealer has the new parts available as soon as I need them (he is the #1 Titan dealer in the state of PA). A fellow owner was getting his Titan's brakes replaced with the new parts. The dealer came right out and acknowledged the brake problem and stated that the problem is very hit and miss. Driving/towing styles don't make a difference, some have the problem and some don't.
Looking forward to bringing something to the table as I am pretty experienced with stereo related installs and have enjoyed lurking for a couple of months. Now...let the modding begin!
Welcome to Titan Talk!!! You will find ANY and ALL the info you'll ever need! I also lurked for a month or so before joining and I have learned so much about the TITAN...
Again WELCOME and CONGRATS on the new TITAN!!!

You're 6"7" so you must have a pretty decent wingspan. Stand in the bed of the truck next to the cab and I'll bet you can do pretty darn near the whole roof from there.

TITANS RULE!!!!
welcome to our addiction!!! many congrats, oh by the way nice choice in color!!!
Thanks....Smoke is the shxt. But I think they all look good.
I can reach pretty far on the roof from the bed. About two feet short (damn I love the CC). Will be able to get it done easier once I get the step bars.

I'm 6'1" and wash the roof from the bed as you pointed out. I am unable to get to the front 20" or so. My buddy tells me to get nerfs for cleaning but I don't like having to swing my foot around the nerf bar when I get out of the driver's seat. Looks like a short step ladder needs to be procured for proper Titan care ...

Welcome to TitanTalk my man, and congrats on the new addition to your family!
BTW, I'm 6' 5" and I too appreciate the room we have inside. As far as the washing the roof, I Don't have an issue anymore since I got my Undercover Tonneau. Now I just stand on the top and wash away.

Those extendable RV wash brushes work great for washing the roof. Short people like me need to stand in the bed in order to get it. You can pick em up pretty cheap at Pep-boys. In fact I do the entire truck with it....it really cuts down on the time. I don't use sponges or gloves anymore unless I am doing my wheels.

Congrats on the truck! I am 6'5" and the interior room is awesome. I have found that standing in the bed, I could reach all but the last 5" of the roof. The running boards helped to eliminate that problem, especially since I just got my shell and standing in the bed is not longer an option. You are sure to love your truck, the power and attention are addicting! The guy at the shell place kept staring at the truck while they were doing the install, then he came in and asked me a slough of questions. He kept saying how much he and his wife liked the Titan and he can't wait to get one of his own.
Again, welcome to the dark side

Nice truck! Did you have to sell the house to build it?
