Ok, so to match the colors between the headlights and fogs, I need to match the kelvin temperatures?? So the 9006STs are 4000K, I need to find an 891 bulb that is 4000K? Anyone done this? Look good? Match well? I am picky, would like some imput on brands and types! Thanks,

Mike

What's a "891" bulb?....So, you want to match colors of the lights?
The temps for a HID system determine the hue the light casts, on a tungsten filiment bulb(like our stock ones) if you want the blue look, you find a bulb that has a light blue coating.

The 891 bulb is the bulb # for the fog lights.

But there are many different types of blue... I, like many other titan owners want a nice clean looking front end. Still need some recommendations! ;-)

The only way I've found to match headlight and fog light color is to use higher than stock wattage fog bulbs. Due to the wattage and size difference usually found between headlight and fog light bulbs it is very difficult to match their color appearance. I haven't experimented with my titan yet. The best match I got so far on any vehicle I've owned is on my '03 Maxima (DS2 HID's and H3 fogs). I used 100w H3 bulbs that have the blue glass casing from EBay. I did remove the small metal reflector from the housing. My fog lenses are glass; also both are cracked from stone chips so I didn't have to worry about the extra heat cracking the lenses.
I've used the same Kelvin temp. bulbs, with different wattage and from the same manufacturer (to include PIAA and several different off brands) and their light colors are far from matching. The easiest way is to get the yellow fogs (Lexus look), but that look isn't for me.

A couple words of caution though when using higher than stock wattage bulbs. If the lenses are plastic you run the risk of melting the lenses. The same goes for the light housing (I've done both before). Also most fog light housings have a small metal clip that sits in front of the bulb so that people looking directly at the light won't be blinded as bad as they would be if the bulb is directly exposed. That clip gets very hot and will cause the high wattage bulbs to fail in a short period of time and could melt the inside of the light housing where they attach to it.

An idea that I haven't tried yet is to put a small Blue LED in the housing so when looking at the light it should have a blue (HID) tint to it. I think it would help get that blue look out of the lower wattage fog lights.
