HVAC question

I need advice, on my hvac system I have alot of air coming through my vents when the knob is on 0 and the recirc button is pressed in and the light is on. It's real bad at highway speed or driving into the wind and it's not just a little it's like having the fan on speed 2. I've had 2 service depts tell me it's normal and have had people tell me their system does it to. But I've also had people tell me when they have their knob on 0 and recirc no air comes through. I could use some feedback please.

Mine does it, I just assumed it was normal. If it bothers me I would just redirect the vents or close them.

You'll find just about every vehicle has some air movement when you are traveling. It's a safety issue. Fresh air is constantly being introduced into the passenger compartment. Different makes and models do it different ways, but they all do it.

I only have air coming through while on "0" and the vent open. Once you hit the RECIRC button, it closes the vent and stops the air. If yours don't work that way, you may have an airway door out of wack.

Flow through is normal, however, when you press the recirculate button, the damper should close. If yours does not, get it fixed! Would be kinda cold in the wintertime...

I would love to get it fixed but both dealerships I've taken it to have told me it's normal. All my past trucks and my wifes current car doesn't do this. When I drive it through the car wash you can hear the water draining down in the back somewhere but that's always been mine first guess that the intake door to the hvac system wasn't closing all the way.

They're probably not understanding your complaint exactly then. When in RECIRC mode, NO outside air is supposed to come in...period. If they don't understand THAT? lol...I don't know what else to say. But it's not right.
