Titan XE and Utili-track?

Is it true, you can't get the Utili-Track with the XE model?

Based on the brochue it appears to be so, but just wanted to confirm. Although you can get the spray-in bedliner, the utili-track is a no go.

Any XE owners have the Utili-track in the bed?

That is true. The spray in liner is a new '05 thing for the XE, but they are still holding the Utilitrack hostage to the SE and LE trim packages.

Feakin retarded if you ask me. They should allod the bed package to be available at any trim. Same with the Big Tow package.

I agree, those of us that use our trucks for work every day putting serious miles on it can't justify spending the extra cash for the se's or le's. But I could really use the tie downs and tool box storage.

You cannot have it on an XE but.....I can't see why the utilitrak couldn't be instaled on one....at least the two side racks anyhow. You'd have to do without all the other stuff that comes in that package but....it'd be something.

Just find an LE or SE owner who doesn't want his utilibed and swap!

As for installing the utilitrack, you definitely need to find a way to reinforce the points where the track bolts to the bed. The regular sheet metal is too flimsy.

I got the SE for getting to work every day as well as everything else. Isn't I figure I would get what I wanted since I would be in it so often!

I really think they should have offered it for the XE though, it jsut does not make sense...You have to get an SE for a work truck?

I'm surprised at all the posts about getting an XE to save some cash. Don't get me wrong...I'm all for saving cash. The reason I'm surprised is that all of the dealers around me seemed unwilling to come down much on XEs but perfectly willing to come down on SEs. I got an SE because they came down within a few hundred bucks of the XE I liked. All the dealers around here were like that. I guess they just really wanted to move those SEs. Didn't bother me any! Keep in mind however, that my SE is as basic as you can get it. The XEs I'm talking about didn't have any added packages either. They were just unwilling to come off sticker prices. I would've walked but all 3 dealers in the area were the same. Maybe they've got some kind of an XE-SE cartel going on down here or something....
