Just thought I would put this out, in case anyone else has the same problem. I found a part missing off of my rear suspension linkage. If you look at your rear leaf spring's bracket through the rear wheel well, right behind and inboard of the back tires, you'll see the bracket with a bolt and a rubber bumper to keep the leaf springs inside the bracket. The one on my right side was missing/broken off. The dealership has to order the ENTIRE right rear leaf spring assembly. I think it's still safe to drive, but I stuck a bolt through it anyway just for piece of mind.
Anyone else had this issue?
And NO, I've never done any off roading, stump jumping, baja racing, etc. I have drove through a few mud holes while driving through a field, but nothing over 10 mph. In other words, I haven't done anything that should result in a broken suspension piece.

Was it just missing or was there evidence that it broke? My guess is that it was never on there to begin with. It would be pretty difficult for it to brake that piece only and not have anything else wrong.

No evidence that it was broken off. No bends, breaks, scratched metal, etc. It was definitely there before, I remember seeing it and cleaning it. Looks very rusted around where the "bolt" attatched to the bracket, especially on the "inboard" side. Looks like it got rusty, loose, and got bumped out by the top leaf spring. The leaf spring has a "clean spot" where it made contact with the bumper, so the it must have popped it out.
Maybe I hit a pot hole, dead body, or something...

just checked........
Thanks Hatchman..........mine are ok......I did find some squeaking when I raise and lift the back of the truck there....must be some dust or small rocks that need to be washed out of there. I remember others have had to lube that area. The backroads are really dry and dusty lately.
Peace-Tom Bass Ale

Checked mine after reading your post and they are fine. It looks like the rubber bumper for the spring shackle is held in by a long rivet. Nothing user serviceable anyway. That's probably why they had to order you an entire spring assembly for that side.
