As the title states, im considering taking all the logos off (excluding burger on tailgate) as well as my pin striping on the sides and "pro-4x" stickers on the rear quarters...my question is...has anyone taken the door trim off as well? Are there holes behind it? Any pics available? Im thinking it would look really clean with everything gone, but id like to see it before i do it. Thanks for any help!
Everything is glued on so have at it. A hair dryer and some fishing line works wonders. Goofoff will get the sticky stuff off. Be prepared to have have sore fingers.
I just have a hate for plastidip. If you aren't getting it professionally done, it will not last. Gravel, even little rocks on the road will murder a truck that is dip'd with rattle can. And at the typical cost of a professional job, you might as well sink the money and get your whole truck bedlined or painted. That's my two cents on that.
As for the debaged truck with logos on the bed, I'm finally at my lap top with pics. Like I said, it's a black truck not red like yours so yeah, it'll be a bit different. I don't know why people always wanna take the pro4 logo off. It looks good. It sets your truck apart from every other Titan on the road, minus the inside stitching on the seats and little things. I would keep them, especially having the retro ones and not the make me wanna puke yellow ones that they have now.
BTW, there are wholes behind the paneling on the lower part of the door. I don't know about any of the other pieces.
And here are the pics.
And a few throwbacks without the bumper #lateTBTfoo
Thanks for the pics and super awesome truck man. Im doing that grille mod soon!
As far as the plasti-dip goes, no rattle cans here, def getting professionally done. The guy that did my grille and bumper charged $100 and said hed do the whole truck for $700
I have the Red Alert also, I started to "de-badge" it until I noticed how different the color was from being in the sun for a year. This was on the tailgate and I tried to polish it thinking I could get a better match, not even close. The paint behind the chrome logos was 2-3 shades lighter so I put everything back on. Yours may be different but that was my experience. Unless it's a new truck I think it will be the same. My truck is now 3 years old and I wouldn't even think about it. Oh ya, I did do the pinstripe, but that was like a few days after I got it and even that left some lighter stripes, but those have faded in with the paint and sun.
That's weird. I've done that with an 07 Infiniti G35 that I purchased 3yrs old, de-badged it and no issues with the paint mismatch. This time I de-badged my truck shortly after purchasing new so I can't say if that would have been the case with my Titan.
