Can someone please explain the PRG to me like I am a 2 year old?
What is it?
Where does it go?
Does it affect aerodynamics (mpg)?
Should I really have it?
I could look it up on the internet but I just $hat my self and my mom has to change me.
The PRG Kit is made by PreRunnerGreg (supporting vendor of this site) and was originally marketed as a levelling kit to raise the front end of the Titan to the same level as the rear end. The kit is 2 solid aluminum spacers that fit on top of the coil top plates and not only give the front end a little lift, but also increase your compression travel. So that coupled with larger, better bumpstops smooths out the front end over the factory ride quality.
You can see more info and picutres from my installation here: Havock's PRG Kit I also have an installation summary written up (there is a link to it part way down that page) that will give you a good idea of what the install process is.
I am thinking about purchasing a 4X4 king cab Titan. Is there anything that the dealers offer that either are not worth buying or are just more or less a waste of money? For instance, do you guys think it is better to get the factory installed bedliner or to get a spray on installed by someone else?
I would consider getting a bare bones truck and adding stuff to it. Or perhaps getting an XE with a certain level of options and adding stuff to it. For example, I think the Rockford Fosgate stereo is not a good way to spend the money. I think you can get a Line-X sprayed liner that is better than the OEM sprayed liner. I know that some guys here have added power windows & locks & alarms aftermarket. I do not know the details as to costs, quality, difficulty, or time involved. I think there might be some difficulty separating desired & undesired options because of the way they are packaged together by Nissan.
I would go the other way and get one fully loaded. If I had to do it again I would get the LE with DVD and NAV and every other bell and whistle. If you want the install to look factory and integrate into other factory components it ends up costing more when you add those things later.

That's exactly what I did, bought a loaded LE w/ sunroof, DVD & NAV & RF stereo & utilitrack w/ OEM sprayed liner. Then I tore the speakers, sub & amps out, leaving me stuck with the RF (Panasonic) head unit in order to maintain integration with the OEM NAV & DVD
Yeah, I understand your point, but I wouldn't have replaced speakers and amps and stuff. Hell, I'm happy with the stock non-Rockford Fosgate junk! What I'm having to deal with now is having a crappy sounding DVD player because of the RF modulator (which cost me about $900 installed - but it looks factory) or spend another $1500+ to get a double DIN head unit with navigation, and then I will have a factory bezel with extra holes in it. I'm obsessive compulsive (not really, but I should be) so that would drive me nuts.
I guess if your an audiophile and demand superb sound, the base radio will save money. If the factory sound will suffice, you may as well spring for it at the time of purchase.
Not that comes to my head, unless you dont care about what bugshiled you get. I think the OEM is very reasonably priced. However, I wanted a painted to match bugshiled, so I bought aftermarket...
I have Big Tow, and Utility bed package. So I've got a hitch and I have the OEM spray in bed liner. I would reccomend having a reputible company spray in a bedliner as opposed to a drop in. Or find a Titan with the Utility Bed package. I didnt want the package, but got as close as I could to what I wanted and it had the Utility Bed package. Now I dont think I'd own another truck with out it. The utili-tracks are priceless...
Oh, fog lights are a good accessory in my opinion. But the dealer will prob. screw you on them, buy them after the fact. They are SOOOO easy to install. That is if you buy a Titan that is pre-wired for fogs. I think all SE's are pre-wired, I'm not sure about XE's...
Hmmm, thats all I can think of. I love my wade vent visors and Mr. Grille billet grille, but if you have any sort of brain, you can install those yourself and save your money...
