Armadas in the Middle East get more power

Don't know why, it's the same motor, same compression ratio, same bore and stroke, same ignition system... What gives???????

While searching, I found this too. Look down at about the 3/4 part of the page, it's rumored that the VK56 motor was pushing near 500HP while in developement!!!!! What the hell are you waiting for Nissan?

my guess is its either less strict emissions, or the way power is measured. Kinda like in the 60's how cars hp was not takin with a/c exhaust, and all that stuff on, it was simply the engine. If the cars of the 60's were dynoed by todays standards, their hp numbers would be significantly lower than they were published as.
