Test drove the SRT-10

I am well aware of the price of all Mercedes products, the point I am trying to make is that the price of their vehicles has increased exponentially since Daimler has taken over. Their prices have been steadily creeping up to the point where they are more expensive that 90% of their competition. What are you getting for that money? Cheaper built vehicles that don’t last as long. The amazing 300C that looks like a updated version of a 1993 Mercedes 300E? Why would you consider a Daimler Chrysler product? A HEMI Badge? The badge adds $5000 to a price tag. You don’t get a better-built vehicle. Take a look at my list of past-owned vehicles and make a wild guess where I work.

Dito the thing about Mercedes/Dodge.... I was recently in a Benz dealership with a friend who was getting her car serviced. It was a first time for me as they of course don't make trucks, therefore I am not really interested... anyway, I was shocked when I sat in a new 300 series sedan at how crappy the interior was... the driver's seat felt like a worn out $99 mattress... When the guy with his thick english accent asked me what I thought, it's all I could do to be nice... and the real kicker was the price.... yikes, the thing was like $60,000..... I guess that's the going price for status these days... I haven't been watching Dodge all that close but if they are owned by the Benz people, they are not headed in a good direction...

umm the srt-10 quad cab is no where near the same prics as an SL-55..the SL-55 starts at around 125,000..the srt-10 about 50,000..not tryin to get you pissed off but yeah jus so you know..

It's still too much for a pick up truck. I'd rather buy a performance car with that amount of $$$$$.
