Door Ajar Buzzer/chime

Does anyone know which wire to cut on the BCM to disable the door ajar chime that goes off while the keys are in the ignition? Unplugging the whole thing disables too many features, I'd like to eliminate the chime only.

Thanks,
Greg

Is the BCM a sealed box? If not, you could do what I did with my Tacoma.. take it apart and put a toggle switch on the hot side of the dinger leads. This way, when it's time to sell the truck, you can just flip the switch and it's back to stock.

if you remove the trim around the gage cluster the buzzer sits on top of it you can just unplug it.

I'd disconnect BCM (Body Control Module) terminal 37. That way you still have your Lights On warning chime and your Seatbelt warning chime.

Click here for a thread to look at.

chime

I Unhooked Bcm 37 And Besides Turning Off My Ingition Chime, It Disabled My Dome Lights, Cargo Light, And My Lights On My Trailer Tow Package. Any Other Suggestions? Thank You Very Much. Greg.

BCM terminal 37 is power to the chime (and, obviously other things).

The other option is to disconnect BCM terminal 47. That's the left front door switch, and it provides ground to activate the chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. That looks like it'll also disable some lights. The lights have other grounds, but the front left door switch completes the circuit.

There doesn't appear to be any good way to defeat the ignition key warning chime and only the ignition key warning chime - so, looks like the best way is to do what Nihlism said and just unplug the buzzer itself.

Chime

Is it possible to clip the wire on the BCM 37 that goes to the chime? Thanks again, Greg.

Can you kill the buzzer itself and leave it plugged in. Then install a new on when and if you need one.
