Where to buy tow hitch ball mount?

<---------- NEWBIE

Just got my Titan on the 1st of this month, I've been lurking around this site for a few weeks now. Thanks for the excellent site, reading all through all of your posts (good and bad) helped me decide on the Titan, and I love it.

Now, question: I have the big tow package, but it didn't come with hitch ball mount or the ball.... where can I buy these at for a good price? Somewhere like an AutoZone?

I'm moving to Kansas City from Indianapolis in about 2 weeks and am going to throw my girlfriends GTO on the back of the Titan (and I'm keeping it in 4th gear )

U-Haul and Ryder truck rental places sell them, Wal-Mart, any RV place will have them.
You might want to find out ahead of time what size ball the trailer takes.

Auto Zone would work, or Wal-Mart, ect. All have good selection of ball mounts and such. Also-- How many miles do you have on your truck? I would be worried about "breaking in" your truck before towing the car such a long way....either way, good luck!

If you are towing class 3 trailers this works well and is adjustable. It can be had at walmart for $54. i have all masterlock stuff and tow pretty often and enjoy the flexability with the diffrent trailers I tow.

I've got an old rusty one I might let go for a good price. I don't know what size it is I reckon there all the same.

How many miles is the move? Would it be unrealistic to just drive the car too? If you read the manual, the first 500 towing miles have to be under 50 miles per hour. This is not the same miles as the original truck break in. Good luck with the move, have a safe trip.

I use the same Master Lock hitch. I love it, much better then carrying a couple sizes. I keep a ratchet in the lock box so I can level the trailer after it's loaded. You will need a ball too. I bought one that had interchangeable ball sizes, also from Walmart.

That master lock mount is a nicely made item. Makes sense as trailers don't always get loaded exactly the same way each trip.

Thanks everyone for your help... the trip is 493 miles exactly So... either we keep it under 50 mph or tow her car with the moving truck. Moving truck might be the better way to go.

Anyone experience problems with towing over 50 mph for the first 500 miles?
