Mitsubishi Endeavor AWD
My father-in-law picked up one of these (2004) with 22,00 mi for $17,500 IMO it's solid, quick and powerful for a 6cyl. I drove it with him right after we test drove the old (04)x-terra and the Endevor blew it away! the new x-terra might be another story.

My wife and I have been looking at both the Murano and the Pathfinder the past few weeks. Both are great vehicles, and surprisingly, are priced about the same. I think we are leaning toward the Pathfinder simply for the room.

murano

I bought on of the Murano's for my wife when they first came out in 03. She loves it and I like it also. We bought the SE 2WD with VDC as it seemed to handle a little quicker than the SL. Didn't want the AWD.

It has good power and the CVR transmission is awesome. Takes some getting used to because you don't feel the vehicle shift. We got it loaded and the computer/nav shows us getting as much as 26 mpg on highway. This is usually traveling around 60. Highway speeds we can still expect 24. Town is pretty close to 20.

Lots of room and even comfortable for me in the back at 6'1". We drove the Infiniti FX 35 also and even though we liked the styling, the room, handling and a couple of other things ($7,000 more) sent us back to the Murano.

It is an aggressive looking SUV also. I liked the Pacifica when I saw the 1st commercial, but in person they tend to look more station wagon like.

Only problem we have had in 2 1/2 yrs now is the paint is extremely thin. Have the Pearl colored one. Had paint chips within a week. Went all the way to BBB with 30+ paint issue on it and they naturally ruled for Nissan saying it was road debre that caused it. Duh huh, I know what caused it, it just should not have been chipping like that. When I bought my Titan, the salesman said he had heard there was a problem with the white paint that year.

Have the same thin paint on my Black Titan but haven't noticed anything that severe.

Anyhow, just adding my nickel.

Adding my two cents as well. I've done so much research on the mid-SUV market from online articles, forums, magazines and when I waded through all the sites and paper I found the best judge was just sitting my butt in the vehicle and driving it. Of course you're probably saying 'well duh' but when you drive the Murano you will know what I'm talking about. I am a power guy myself, of course I bought a Titan, so it won't knock you out with torque but for your everyday commutes this vehicle has got one of the smoothest rides out there, that CVT makes a world of difference. I'll admit like the others, you gotta get used to that CVT tranny no-shifting-feel but that just enhances the overall comfort of the vehicle.

And to kind of help you out, before TT&L I was able to get my wife a 2005 Nissan Murano SE Fwd for about 28K. I should also note thought I have purchased three Nissans in the last 10 months so they did give me a helluva deal but I'm pretty sure you can make out okay at the dealership with a great price.

I biased. Go Murano. I did. No regrets.

I haven't driven nor have I rode in any of the 3 you listed but based on looks alone I say Murano. It's kinda odd looking but I like it!

I have a PT GT. My wife loves it. We haven't had any problems w/it yet. I think Chrysler is definitely improving on their products. I think they might be somewhat outselling Furd and GM. I could be wrong.

The 300m is no longer made. The current 300's are not m's. In my unbiased opinion, the 300 followed by the charger/magnum, followed by the maurano, followed by the pacifica. Most of the other vehicles listed in this thread are not very good. Especially the Mitsu's. They have the worst quality right now.

I'm quite sure he meant the 300C. Everyone else knew what he meant as well.

Stick, I'm a 39 year old guy, married 12 years, and I let my wife choose her own d@mn car.

I assume your wife didn't pick out your truck and all your mods, so why would you select what she is going to drive?

Maybe he is just helping her chose. That's all. I did help choose for my wife about 2 years ago. I just wish I had let her choose herself. It was down to a 04 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP or an 04 Nissan Maxima SE. She chose the Nissan, we had alot of problems w/it surprisingly, and then a year later we traded it and she finally got what she wanted. A d@mn PT GT. I admit it has grown on me though.

i don't let my wife out of the kitchen except to fetch my shoes (of which she has none by they way) AND she's pregnant--just the way I LIKE EM!!!! hey, she can have whatever she wants, just getting a few opinions. like most of us we can want something that can turn out to be a piece of junk just b/c we like the color/shape/coin holder, etc. so i thought i would seek a few ideas from guys in the car universe.

you and i are in the same boat (i'm a little younger but 12 years as well). just kidding about the gf thing my friend--sorry if you got bent!

ps--actually my wife picked my titan and selected my mods--i wanted the windstar but she kept using the word 'lame'.....oh well.
