Dumb question
I've seen some trucks with white tubes attached to the bumper. Looks like a pipe organ. Can anyone tell me what these are for? Are they to prevent damage when pushing someone, or for shooting flares in the air?

Not a dumb question
 There are no dumb questions...only dumb people answering them.If the white tubes are vertical, those are probably for fishing poles. When I drive down to the beach, some rigs have five pipes and a converted hitch in front to haul their coolers for their catch.

Yeah, I saw them every where when I was in NC last week. It didn't make sense to me either until we went to the beach and I saw tons of trucks lining the shore.
