I wanted to just say thanks

Well I traded my 04 Nissan Titan yesterday. I really liked it even with a couple of major issues, but got tired of having to take it once a month to fix minor stuff and only having 10k miles I started having some other problems that looked like it could become major problems. The straw that broke the camel's back was that the AC would not work after I loaded my boat Sunday in 95 degree weather. They had already worked on this a few times.
I had mixed feelings, but when I would take it for repair on Saturday it would total mess up me taking the boat to the lake that day.
I just wanted to say think you for the help I got from this board. I must say that once I go to replace my new truck I will include the Titan in my search.

What did you trade it in for? What did you trim + packages did you have? How much did you get for it?

I traded for a 05 Chevy Silverado LS with the 5.3 V8. I got 16k for mine with just over 10k miles, but I paid 18-19k for it so I did not do bad over all on the trade and with rebates GM has now it worked well. I also got a lower % loan rate. I had the XE king cab. I bought the Chevy with all the power options and tow package. Overall I think I like the Chevy a little better, but part of that is power options, and that is not a Titan problem. To compare the Silverado I bought to the XE is like comparing apples to oranges because it is a higher trim level then the XE.

Yes I got the Employee Discount price too. The Chevy prices are great right now, which made it the prime time to do this. GM is trying to push their sales back up.

You'll like that Chevrolet a lot! I loved my silverado but it was 2wd. If you're looking for a 4x4 crew cab pickup the Titan is a steal and then when I drove it I was hooked.
I do wish I had OnStar, though. I've been stuck places in my truck where a cell phone won't do a thing, scary feeling!

Wow, great deal on the trade in. Somebody is going to end up paying more for it used than you did new.

This was the case last July when I bought mine. When I looked at the Chevy's last year they were way more expensive then what I got mine for. The Titans gas pedal is more responsive than the 1500 and this is what hooked me last year, but I have a feeling it is the electric linkage.

I did not look at the 05 Tundra. I looked at them last year because you got a Outback steak dinner for doing a test drive It was nice but it is not as big as most full size trucks. It reminded me of the Colorado on the inside.
When I got the 1500 I looked at 3 online and 2 in person.
They are:
Ford - I was going to go test drive one, but there were lots of problems listed about vibrations. I have also heard they are having transmissions if you tow even light trailers. It was enough out there it turn me off. The also remind me of the old Mazda B2220
Dodge - I looked and did not test drive because I did not like the look. I have had a worst experience with them then Nissan and so has a few others I know personally.
Chevy - I looked at the 1500 and the Trailbazer. The Trailbazer lacked power and would have kept the Titan I believe if it was my only choice, but I did not like this sales person either. I went to another dealer and drove my truck and that did it.

If I were not so upside down in my loan I would do the same thing. Personally I would strongly consider another Titan, perhaps an '06. I would really like to splurge and get the Dodge SRT-10 quad cab, but no 4wd. Good luck w/the Chevy
