question about rear diff oil

i have a 05 SE CC, the rear diffcover is the new diff covers. the diff says 75w-140 synthic oil only. so i'm guess that i have syntheic in there. i'll be starting to tow our 18ft. boat this summer. i know i have to take it easy for the first 500 tow miles. but as far the the oil in the diff. is it fine if i leave it as is? or do i have to change it?

I'd check to make sure the oil level is at the bottom of the fill plug then just run it till it reaches the service interval which is 30k miles I believe.

Mine was about 1/2 inch low, and somewhat dirty for the 3300 miles it had on it at the first change. There is a magnet in the drain plug to catch ferrous particles, but I thought $45 for three quarts of Mobil1 75w-140 was cheap insurance.

Nissan says if you tow, change lube every 30,000mi,or 2yrs,which ever comes first.Make sure you refill it with synthetic.
