Plus the added cost of premium fuel (and more of it ).....
That's a good point, Sammy. I didn't think of that. $56 a fillup is bad enough. You can make that $80 after the SC.
OK I'm out!!!!

looks like stillen blew it on this one, i guess most of us will wait for something worth while. the sad thing is they just cut the stock rwhp down to nothing so it looks like a actual 100 hp gain by stillen, prob more like 50-60 hp...

That sucks. I calculated to an estimated 13.54 @ 99 in the 1/4. The head COULD do that with 25 more shot
$6000??? Thats the most pathetic part. Lets see, nitrous, intake exhaust, (some long tube headers) chip, slicks, stall work, electric fan, no spare, tailgate or rear bumper, youve got a 12.80 truck with $2-3k if you do it right Oh and did i mention your truck would also get better gas mileage with all of this. I am ALSO mad i waited so long for the STUPACHARGA by stealin. But the bottom line is it is probably a bad a*s kit and gives you a 100 streetable horsepower. And if we all had the bones we would just buy it without *****i*. Im done
Ok guys, I talked with Stillen today and here’s the scoop.
The Supercharger will be available in about a week.
They did some final dyno testing and here are the results:
Stock 248 hp to the wheels, after SC 350 hp to the wheels.
Stock 379 lbs torque, after SC 418 lbs torque.
Cost $5,800 not installed. $6,868 installed (by Stillen)
3 year 36000 mile engine and SC warranty
Here is what you get:
Supercharger, new injectors, fuel pump, new fuel system, intercooler & charger, and ECU (piggy backed)
They have 10 kits available now and the first two installed will be featured in some magazines (would not say which ones)
They also have a waiting list of about 30 people and the first 10 on the list will be getting called in the next week or so.
If you want on the list call Stillen direct and ask for Elias at X-158
Believe it or not it all depends how you look at it. People might be getting close to 300 at the wheels now but what was the baseline dyno hp for those same people? I mean, look a the chart that Z28 keeps up for us in the performance section (the sticky) and you'll see what I mean. Some stock numbers are more than people with mods by some margin. Stillen got 248 as their baseline. So don't look at their number for a raw comparison.
I got 264 with the Banks, resonator delete, and K&N air filter in the stock box (de-snorkled on the inside). I think I would have been making about 250 as a baseline judging from timeslips and stuff. I'm at 282hp with the Volant and fans now, and 332hp on the nitrous. So I'm getting about 82hp gains with the bolt-ons and 50hp jetting. The Stillen still has me beat, and I pretty much figured that would happen. Also, is that number with a stock exhaust? I'm sure there is more to be had with a reso delete and cat-back. Granted this is more money but speed is never cheap.
What I am excited about is that they have mods to the fuel system. I'm not having any issues yet with mine (still 51psi full throttle and spraying), but it's nice to know that there is something out there now. Hopefully nitrous users can buy some of the components piecemeal for what we might need.
For the amount of stuff you get, $5800 isn't a bad deal and you'll have that power all the time. You can do that with nitrous if you're willing to throw a few switches and leave the bottle heater on all the time. I'm just not one of them. And the supercharger would be ideal for towing whereas nitrous is not practical.
I don't want to sound like a Monday morning quarterback but I knew this thing would wind-up being more than $4500 or whatever price has come up before at times. Despite the fact this engine is similar to the other Nissan platforms, Stilen probably realized that not as many people are likely to supercharge a Titan or Armada as comapared to the 350Z and G35s. From a marketing perspective, I think Stillen should have put out what the thing was going to cost first before getting into it that deep. I can guarantee that several people will be walking away from that kind of price as they go down their list - consequently I'm on it but will be passing. The $1000 it will take for me to buy another stock intake manifold, upgrade to a direct port kit, and then plumb it will put my nitrous hardware at about $2000 at that point. Hopefully I can sell off the kit that I have now sans bottle and get a few bucks for that.
But all in all it sounds like Stillen is giving you everything you'd need for dependable and reliable power any time you want it. This approach sure beats some shots in the dark I've taken. So measure it by whatever you think is best for you. And as always, your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the info head. I have to say that I am very surprised at the horrible numbers listed above. 248 hp? I haven't been watching the dyno sheets, but that is the lowest # I can recall ever seeing for a Titan. Then I expect their SC to give us more HP than that, but no, they fall short. For that freakin much money, I will just bet on you down at HRP. J/K on the illegal gambling, but I was expecting much better numbers. Of course I don't know Stillen's history in the performance world, but after seeing their "attempt" at an exhaust, I have been skeptical of their intelligence quotient.
I would get one if i had gobs of extra cash laying around. Maybe by the time i do get money there will be other ones out that are cheaper and better. I think it still sounds awesome. I can't wait till someone from the board gets one.
I think some of you guys have your expectations set too high. It sounds like very respectable power gains to me. Remenber, Stillen is offering a warranty on a MODDED ENGINE. They are going to be fairly conservative with their boost pressure and tuning. If you want more, I'm sure the hardware is good for it... but then your are on your own with the warrenty, just like with nitrous or other mods.

You really shouldn't compare results from different dynos, it's apples and oranges. The gain on the same truck on the same dyno is what is important. 100 hp at the wheels is nothing to scoff at. And I wouldn't be suprised if Stillens claims were on the safe side. I think there is a typo on the torque numbers though... it lists 379 at the wheels stock. That is the stock flywheel number, so 418 at the wheels is a big gain.

It's a lot of money, but you also get a lot more then just the supercharger itself. A set of injectors alone would be about $800. Fuel pump $2-300. Intercooler and piping, $500-$1000. Piggyback ECU $300-$500.

I can't wait to see a Titan with the kit. I bet with a little tweaking, it will be a Lightning killer.
You're looking at a 41+% HP increase at the wheels for the $$. Plus a full warranty!
That's a good deal although I'd rather pay less. I'd guess the price will come down in a few months. The market will determine the price. If they can't sell the units at the current price they'll lower the price or leave the market.
If you want to be the first in your area to own a world class street legal performance Titan you now know the cost.
