Wow, is right! Can the US automakers do anymore damage to themselves? Don't get me worng, I want the US to do well for obvious reasons but everytime we turn around theres another big problem the the BIG 3.

Meh, Ford tends to play it safe with things like this. Better to have the recall and replace the potentially faulty part than deal with TSB's and complaints as they arise. Also remember how many of these trucks they sell in a year. 260k is alot but considering their sales over 2-3 years...
How about us Titan owners?? I'd rather see a recall or two than all these TSB's that seem to be up us to find and up to the dealers discretion and service department expertise to fix. Knock on wood I've had no issues and I hope like heck it stays that way.
FWIW most rolled Exploders were a result of driver error, usually over correction. I have driven both Bronco II's and Explorers very hard and never got one up on two wheels just by going fast. I'm sure if you push any truck or SUV, Nissan or otherwise, hard enough and over correct in an emergency avoidance you can snap it into a roll over.
Sorry for the rant, I have been a Ford owner in the past (2 Rangers w/ over 180K each and one Bronco with over 200k) and just don't see the reason to bash. I picked my Nissan due to it's being an unbeatable package for the money and that Nissan has a history of reliability. Picking on Dodges and Chevy's however..........
Sorry, just had to chime in on the ford quality thing
I have owned 2 Ford products, an F-350 and OH MY the econobox Escort LX.
I am the LEMON LAW DEVINING ROD. 94 Escort
9,000 miles all 4 brakes completely worn out. Car was only driven highway miles brakes hardly used. Ford dealer response, you are too hard on the brakes.
9790 miles driving down the freeway and hear a strange noise that sounds like my keys being dropped on the floor. Peer around the steering wheel at 75mph to find that well.............they are on the floor. So is the lock cylinder. Car is still running, but now must be started with a more reliable method, the screwdriver. Dealer response....push it back in place. (different dealer than 1st issue)
15,800 make a left turn and hear a loud rush of wind from my right ear and then the nasty sound of steel against the pavement. Low and behold the passenger side door is being dragged down the street, the only thing holding on at this point is the wire harness and some 12gage speaker wire. Load door in to passenger seat and drive to the dealer I bought the car from. Dealer response: That is a normal ware item. It will cost you $1800.00 to repair.
My response: F. U.! Time for Lemon Law. Ford owns that POS.
F350. Not much good to report, fit and finish not so good. Truck was showing its age with 45000 miles on it, Buzz, Squeaks and Rattles all over the interior. Traded it in just to get rid of the POS.
So I had to nix the Ford buying experience. Fooled once shame on you, fooled twice, shame on me!
