It looks like it's gonna have to sneak up on a gas pump if it wants some gas - that thing is UGLY! (btw - I realize its a Colorado cloned Isuzu.)

What I don't get is the mentality that they think that buying their truck makes them more American that those that buy something else.
Geez!!!!
I mean, for crying out loud.....spend your money how you want it. Let's assume that we toss out all other truck makers and only have a true legitimate US maker. What then? Quality goes down, price goes up. Why? Anyone....? No competition. No desire or need to improve.
Those putz on that thread don't realize what competition is all about. This is a global society and not us versus them anymore.
Oh, and that one dude that mentioned about jobs lost, get real. If the American public wasn't so greedy then maybe the jobs would have stayed here in the country.

A classic case of badge re-engineering, no? This is why domestic automakers lose ground to the others. Even the others, when they share platforms, at least have the decency to change sheetmetal. (just thinking - DCX is doing exactly that with the new Mitsu pickup that's based on the Dakota).

I'm glad I lived there (for the experience), but those folks are so stuck in the past that they can't see their way to the future. Makes me nervous that I can't sell my house I own there - everyone smart's leaving.

Yes, its a GM truck rebadged. The interesting thing about it is they say it may be sold at a substantially lower price than the identical GM version.

Isuzu did the same thing w/the Chevy Trailblazer. The Ascendor is born....rather cloned.

The Isuzu will be sold at a lower price and with a better warranty. PT Barnum must be running GM these days.
