is that a ruger long barrel .22? my dad had one was the easiest thing to fire, accurate as hell and pretty darn quiet with no recoil. ahh the memories.

Yes, that's the 5.5 bull barrel target MKII. There is one longer, with a 10".
You're right, it's a sweet shooter. Anytime I'm having a bad day at the range, this gun sets things straight. The grip angle is perfect, it has just enough weight to be steady and also eliminate recoil for good follow-up shots. Perfect for training novices too, since the lack of recoil keeps it from being intimidating.
I feel like I've hijacked this thread, maybe it's time for a new shooting thread!
Besides my guns I keep a couple flashlights, work gloves, batteries, bungie cords, ratcheting tie down straps, tow rope, Deet spray, two dog collars, maps, pens, wireless xbox controller, a book of emergency software (im a computer tech), spare 20gb hard drive, and a cell phone charger.
Thanks. The 1911 is a rather inexpensive Springfield that I don't mind getting beat up as a truck gun (still a sweet shooter though!).
The AK is a Romanian. About as accurate as a slingshot, but lots of fun.
Outstanding! I've got a Springfield 1911 Mil Spec Operator with the light rail in the safe. Don't shoot it much, too many pistols, so little time...
Well, unfortunately I don't have pics handy, but I have a Beretta M-9. I also carry a Russian Makarov 9mm, and I just bought my shotgun a couple of weeks ago. It's a Remington 870 12 Ga. w/ synthetic stock. I had an Auto Ordnance 1911A1 and Ruger MKII and sold them at a Gun Show in Texas. I am looking to pick up another M-9, but they are hard to find.

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Nylon Tow rope, bug spray, spare yakima rack parts, cleats (in case of any unforseen Ultimate games), iPod (20Gig), spare BDUs (battle dress uniform), tire gauge, the occasional Glock 19, and spare engine oil.....that's about it, I reckon.
1. chainsaw
2. chicletts
3. sixteen glass filopian tubes.
4. forty yards of flightline.
5. keys to the seachest.
6. 2 gallons of propwash (at least)
7. a big maglite.
8. oh, and a valve core remover to air down quickly in an emergency.
Obviously military/ex-military with the flightline post! Right up there with chem-light batteries and a box of grid squares.

Hehe, a smarta$$ SGT at my last post sent an incoming PFC on one of those scavenger hunts.. well he came back with one item on the list... a box of grid squares... B CO's First Sergeant had a map that had been cut up in a box and gave it to the PFC with orders for that smarta$$ SGT to report to the 1SG . That made my day, and always brings a smile to my face.

I've got an M-9 as well, a 1 of 5000 run. It came with Hi-cap mags as well. It stays in the safe. I've probably shot fifty rounds of Walmart White box thru it in the last five-years.
Try finding a used 92 FS if that's the frame you like. I'm partial to the
Glock 19 myself. Unfortunately in NE we are not deemed responsible enough to carry concealed weapons however.

Yeah, I like the 92FS frame, but wanted an M-9 because they only made 5000 of them. I want another for collector purposes. But alas, I could not afford to buy 2 when I had the chance.
