Thumbs up Handy Items To Have In Your Titan

How about a little feedback on what items you are actually carrying right now in your Titan. Most of the stuff I'll list is something that I needed at one time or another while driving or away from home but did not have. The following I keep concealed either under the seats, glove box, armrest console or in only 1 milk crate tied to back left corner of the bed: cell phone, e-z pass, pens, paper, cd's, hand held working flashlight, penlight, cheap power port light with 10 ft. cord from the $1 store, socket set, 1 slotted & 1 phillips head screwdriver, cresent wrench, wire cutters, matches, lighter, bottle opener, utility knife, decent tow rope with metal end hooks, bungee cords, jumper cables, flares, about 30' of thick rope, thin rope, tissues, umbrella, map, rain poncho with hood, Slim Jim (not the one you eat!), flat tire plug kit, portable air compressor, tire pressure guage, rubber gloves, work gloves, rags, wd-40, 2 blankets, 2 ice scrapers, duct tape, sunglasses, power bars, gum, disposable wipes, disposable urine bag & always at least 1 bottled water. Thats about all of it. If you pack it right you will never know the stuff is there. The payoff here will one day make you happy or even save a life!

Great starter list...but remember dual use items...Urine bag? Empty water bottles work fine, or just step out...

Gotta go out now and take an inventory of all the stuff I've put in the Titan!

I'll be back!

D@%n, I only have about 8-9 items out of that list--I counted sunglasses twice, since I keep two pair in the truck. Maybe in a couple of years I can figure out how to pack that well--my wife complains about how I pack my clothes for trips.....

Junk in my trunk!

Titan XE's got it about right! (Anyone who has Underdog as the Avatar HAS to be smart!)

I also include a sand ladder for traction, a power inverter, fire extinguishers, safety glasses, emergency strobes, and a disposable camera...

Don't think that stuff is useful? I just helped a mom today open her car door after she accidentally locked it with her baby inside! (Don't have a slim jim) I used a pair of hose clamps to open the door from the inside.

The disposable camera & fire extinquisher is a great idea. The disposable urine bag was actually in my coat pocket for hunting purposes. Did not want to fowl my nesting area! The bag was left in the Titan and is not a necessary item. I left out 6 spare .38 cal. rounds kept in an old orange perscription drug bottle in case of terrorist activity on the George Washington, Throgs Neck or Tappanzee Bridges and in case I am packing! Then again Titan is certainly capable of 100+mph over any bridge in seconds to flee danger! I also forgot to add some of those listed items are discreeted in the door storage areas.

In addition to the items listed above I carry a trusted Leatherman tool, condoms, advil, calculator, winshield screen, backup cigars (gotta condoms and cigars! ) a zippo lighter, zippo lighter fluid, Large head smashin Mag light, koozee, spare checkbooks.

And when I travel, I add an additional toolbox, a full case of bottled water, a 9mm w/ 3 mags(15 rd) and extra ammo, Combat knife, and Remington 870 12 ga. shotgun. Oh yeah, and gotta have extra smokes....it's just like going to the field in the Army. I'll be damned if I shuold get stuck in BFE and run outta smokes.

A cell phone, a small case of metric tools, a credit card and Ol' Blasty.

If I was going on a long trip, I might also carry a spare quart of oil, jumper cables and serpentine belt (I've got in the habit of throwing the old belt behind the seats of my vehicles when I put on a new one so I have a spare that can get me home). If I was going offroad, I'd carry more extensive tools, like a better jack, something to start a fire and a rifle if it was deep boonies.
I had to wean myself from carrying too much junk as I transitioned from beaters to decent vehicles. I used to have spare plugs, distributor caps, gallons of anti-freeze, it was bad.

I have this in my Titan:

1. 750 watt Power inverter
2. 50 foot extension cord
3. Trouble light with tough service bulb
4. Come-a-long (aka powerpull)
5. 30' Tow Rope
6. Lightweight wheel chocks
7. 30 Ton Capacity Bottle Jack
8. AC powered 1/2 impact wrench with sockets
9. Waterless hand cleaner
10. Paper shop towels
11. Red fabric shop towels
12. 2 Jack Stands
13. Two pieces of lumber to put under jack
14. Mover's Quilted Blanket
15. 12v Air Compressor
16. Lug Wrench
17. Full length rain coat
18. Rubber Boots
19. 5 gallon Gas Can
20. Mechanix Gloves
21. Box of disposable latex gloves
22. Trash Bags
23. Flares
24. Duct Tape
25. Hand Held Whisk Broom
26. Fire Starter Log
27. Sponge/Squeegee window cleaner on a telescoping pole
28. Tie down straps
29. Oil Filter Wrench
30. Mosquito Repellent
31. Disposable Butane Lighter
32. 1-7/8", 2", 2-5/16" Hitch Balls
33. Huge Box End Wrench Made Especially For Removing Hitch Balls
34. WD40
35. Rope
36. Tool box with standard and metric wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. etc.
37. Flashlight

I have been carrying this stuff in my Titan for more than a year and a half now and use almost all the stuff all the time. If I need something (like the other day I realized I needed duct tape to keep the drawers shut in a piece of furniture) I go out and buy it and add it to the rest of the stuff ASAP so that I will have it.
