I want everyone's BIAS opinion about which color is better. I am buying an 06 LE Crew next year, and I have it narrowed to the two. I know that Smoke will be easier to clean, etc, but I just want everyone's opinion to help me choose what I want. Thanks
I sure do like the looks of a black vehicle. However, after owning a black truck previously, I know I didn't have the energy to clean a truck this big once a week. If you don't mind washing it a lot or don't mind a color that shows dirt easily, go for it...

Smoke!!! Black shows everything. Every time you step on the back bumper and the tow of your shoe leaves a little mark on the paint under the taillight you'll see it from a mile away. Each time you reach over the bedrail to get something and a button from your shirt touches the paint it will leave a little scratch and you'll be able to see that everytime you're drying your truck. Black looks the best brand new but seems to wear twice as fast!

Mods: PRG Spacers, 17x9" Eagle 187s (+2mm offset) w/ 315 70-17 BFG All-Terrain KO tires, Stillen Diff Cover, Alpine Type-R components in the front, coax. in the rear w/ 50 x 4 Rockford Fosgate Amp, XM, Debadged, and Homemade RCA pre-outs on in-dash changer.
Smoke is the best of both worlds. It's dark enough to shine like a mirror when washed and waxed but doesn't look too bad with some dust and road grime on it either.
Nothing can top a clean shiny black vehicle but it doesn't look as good when it's not spotless.

Galaxy Black! It's like the prom queen everyone wants to ask out but is afraid to. High maintenance but well worth the effort. Yes, it is clean for about 10 minutes, but when clean, wow! My Armada replaced a 7 year old Ford Expedition 4x4, also in black.
These trucks do not really scratch any worse than any other color. I drove that Expey off-road, down narrow roads with overhanging limbs, scraping its sides, sometimes from front fender all the way back. Same with the Armada, now at almost 19,000 miles and looking just like new.
Mild scratch remover type polish after washing and before waxing worked every time and has done the same for the Armada. Keep a good coat of wax on your truck will reduce the likelihood of scratches and makes washing easier.
If you want low maintenance, go with a lighter color. But if you want to really be proud of what your truck is capable of looking like, go Galaxy Black and wash it once a week. Go to the prom with the the prom queen.
Of course, I'm expressing a personal opinion. If you like a particular color go with it. Individuality is one of the great things about vehicle ownership.

Galaxy Black!!! While it does take some serious work to keep it looking good all the time, it is the sharpest looking color in my opinion. Besides, Black is "invisible" to radar

You mean bust me black? I know a traffic cop, the only thing worst than bust me black is arrest me red. Silver and white are the colors that are harder to point a radar gun at as you barrel down the freeway. But come on, the Titan is pretty big, so, they probably will get you no matter what color.
I have the same feelings, I can't decide myself either. If i didn't live in Texas where Black is way to freaking hot to even touch in summer I'd really consider it. I got a really good burn on the back of my leg this past saturday when i was getting out of my truck and touched it onto the black tube-step on my truck. Oh man that hurt like a son a b!tch. So, plus the cleaning, as much as I would love to wash my truck every weekend during the summer, the winter would suck, and plus, as the truck looses some of that new feel, you just get lazy and dont' wanna spend an hour or two scrubbing the darn thing all over getting it spotless.
nothing is more sexy than the galaxy color, but goddamn high maintenance....BUT IT LOVE IT!!!!

I have smoke.... never really considered black but have owned other black cars..... I agree with the trend of the post... the highs with black are higher but the everyday lows are lower.... I get a lot of comments about how good my truck looks
I think the galaxy color is better than a lot of plain blacks, the metallic really does a good job of "concealing" fine scratches and it also helps add some sparkle when the truck is a bit dusty and mine dosent show any swirl marks. Although when its clean it can garner some serious compliments!!! Go with the black it really isnt bad besides do you really want to be just another smoke colored titan??? (no offense to smoke owners, nice color and all, it just isnt black)
