Arrow Looked under the truck and found this (56K eat oil)

My 3000 miles came up (actually 6k) but it was synthetic and needed a cleaning down there.

After lifting the truck in our family garage I found the Titan's radiator leaking and several parts starting to show signs of rust and corrosion.

here are the pics of justice and tell me if you see the same things happening with your trucks also.

History: Feb 2004, 32k miles now and its starting to show. I do my maintence checks often and have done 3 brake fixes, 1 new battery, 5 tires, airbag sensor, seat belts, etc.

BTW. i will never trade or sell in the titan. Unless its another Titan with silver

Number 1: Radiator fluid splashed on the oil pan and surrounding areas
Number 2: Orange Y pipe. Should I be sad?
Number 3: My new carrot under the truck ?
Number 4: Excellent, more fluid
Number 5: My 5th tire...

Did they do my brake recall thing? I seems like the same old calipers and rotors. I'm sure they didn't give me **** when i came in for the 3rd time.

Is your radiator leaking or did the anti freeze come out of the overflow??
If it was leaking you should be low on coolant..............

I assume you are talking about the metal being discolored. It's stainless steel and it discolors like that at high heat areas. My X pipe is all kinds of funky colors.

"Number 3: My new carrot under the truck?"

Perhaps you would have been happier with a 4WD - they have an aluminum drive shaft that doesn't turn orange with rust.

you've still got a carrot, though- it's just up front instead of in the rear.

That sucks. I hear that breaking an egg into the radiator will actually clog any cracks.

Looks to me must of your "stuff" under your truck is the result of the radiator fluid.

If you have been under your truck on a regular basis you should have noticed that your drive shaft "carrot" was that color almost from the day you drove your truck off of the dealer's lot. The "rust" doesn't hurt your drive shaft at all and is made to do that, I believe. Your exhaust was probably that color within 1,000 miles of usage, I know mine was when I replaced it with the Banks after 1K. Has no effect on the function or life of the exhaust system.

Outside of the radiator fluid, I don't see any other issues except maybe your 3rd brake fix. What did your work order invoice say about what your service tech did???

Titan has a closed system. There is no overflow. I went through this when I was smelling coolant and went to the dealer looking for a leak. Both the radiator cap AND "overflow" tank cap are pressurized.

My Y pipe was actually pretty clean at 7k when I put the Banks on, but I've heard there are only two kinds of Y pipes; one that is rusty and one that is GOING to rust. I've been meaning to get under there and do some investigating, you've just motivated me to do it NOW.

Leaky radiator. The egg trick does work. Bring it to the dealer if it is stil covered under warranty. Get under there, wash and scrub it down, get it hot, and then locate the leak. Probably a loose hose clamp, cracked hose, or a small crack in the radiator. The rest of the stuff is normal and won't do any damage.

I'd have the radiator looked at, but if you are looking for a vehicle that won't have any rust on it, you should have bought a Saturn. Any iron based alloys will rust.

There is also a TSB for radiator leaks, and a bad cap.

My Titan leaked radiator fluid also. Mine happened to be coming out towards the top and drained down over things. It was just a bad/weak hose clamp. Dealer replaced it and no more problems.
