Talking Newbie...Just put deposit down...GOT VPP any qustions???

I'd like to say hello to everyone. I just put my $500 deposit on my Titan, LE, CC black. Out the Door w/tax,plates,fees =$34,800

Wondering how? Give up? My best friend from HS & now works at Nissan as an engineer. And guess what platforms? Titan/Armada. So he got me the VPP price. That is Dealer invoice minus 2.87% plus all applicable tax and such after that.

So I'm putting 20"wheels with 305/55/20 Toyo OpenCountry AT's. Ordering the PRG leveling kit probably next week.

Oh, if none of you know yet, the 2006's will have 15 more HP.

34 grand...sounds a little high to me. I just got a quote for an 05 CC LE with Big Tow, floor mats, and sliding bed extender. Quote was for $29,920, and with the rebate it is $27,920. Sales Tax would be $1780 making the price under $30,000. I'm hoping the price you were quoted included DVD, Navigation, and sunroof.

VPP Formula

Well...Actually the VPP formula is:
(See it here - VPP Program )

-Dealer invoice
-Minus VPP discount (2.87%)
-Plus dealer added options, Security Plus, etc.
-Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
-Plus destination and handling charge
-Plus marketing assessment as applicable
-Minus applicable incentives
-Equals paticipant's purchase price

I also purchased mine thru VPP. Good luck with your purchase...

Pick it up on Monday night. We'll wont arrive till thursday. I didn't want the big tow. Reason: final gear ratio in big tow gets you at best 14mpg. Gets you 2000 lbs more towing. I wont be towing anything that big ever. The one time I do tow something 7000lbs it will be enought truck to do it. So the hit in mpg for the tow I wasn't willing to take.

Under $30K for a '05 CC LE? That would be $10K off of MSRP. Come on.....were not talking a chevy here.

I don't know what your talking about with the gear ratio. I get 16 MPH consitantly during my rush hour commutes and I'm still in break-in.

I didn't think the VPP could be given to anyone.
Usually the person using the VPP must show a Paycheck or ID badge for the company they work for.

This sounds right for a 4x2. Straight off the nissan web page MSRP for a 4x4 is $36,070 without any options. Its the 4x4 that makes the price go way up. my $34.8K is 4x4.

Yes, the VPP you do have to have a business card or a copy of the employee that gave you the VPP number.

I paid $33,000 + TTL ($36,850 MSRP & $33,279 dealer invoice) for my 05 LE CC 4x4 with Big Tow, floor mats, under-seat storage bin & sliding bed extender. I took the 2% financing in lieu of the $1500 rebate.

I took the 3% financing for 60 months. That's what they had this month.

I want to know more about those 15 extra horses for 2006. What is changing? Where is the power coming from? Are they just re-rating the engine, which is admittedly under rated to begin with, or is there something new?

jeez...I thought I got a good deal. Guess not. Mine is a CC 4x4 SE with popular package, Cpts chairs, center console, and rockford fosgate, plus Big Tow. It was a low mileage '05 Trade In (original owner got pissed at Nissan for backordering parts)...only 1700 miles. I paid $27,700. Oh, and it's Red Alert...I think the color is what made me buy it.

I haven't actually checked my mileage yet. I figure I'll wait until I put Mobil 1 in it and an air hog filter. But after reading another thread about RPM's at various speeds, I am a little confused. My speedometer reades 72-73mph at 2000 rpm which pleases me if it's right. I've heard that with the Big Tow I should only be getting about 58mph at 2000rpm. Maybe I have the mirrors and the trailer hitch but the Off Road gearing. ??????????
