why are there so many bar codes in my door jams?

lately, I've become obsessed with all the bar code stickers in my door jams...

does anyone know why there are so many? and what they are for? is it wise to remove them? Or are there penalties sort of like the mattresses on beds? I've never had a vehicle with this many or any at all. Or is this some sort of joke by the assembly folk to keep us wondering?

They don't even put them in a neat arrangement, just seem to stick them anywhere, any way...

does this bug anyone else?

otherwise, love the truck...

yesterday, my wife, a bank manager, was at a training meeting, when another manager who saw my drop her off in the Titan says to her...you sure have a nice truck...of course he's the guy with the Toyota truck in the parking lot full of mods...
