I just put a deposit down for a 05 Titan CC LE that will be arriving next week.
Already have some buyers remorse.
The price I agreed to was $200 over invoice. This is working with a local dealer.
Any opinions on how good (or bad) of a price that is?
I read some of the other posts and it seems that many people are getting $500-700 below invoice. Please be honest if you think I should have "dragged it out more"
I think you could have gotten it lower. What about any rebates? If you paid 200 over invoice with the 2000 rebate then you paid too much. Im negotiating with a few dealers currently and am almost up to 3000 under invoice including the rebate. - chris
I got mine for $500 under invoice back in Feb. I was quoted that even before I was 100% sure I was buying. It helps being a repeat customer.

I got mine for $900 under then the $1500 rebate for the Crew. Go get your deposit back and start dealing with the internet guys. Try to pick from existing inventory, especially those that may have been sitting around for a while. If it's been sitting there for 3 months, they need to unload it...

I do Blu, do you?
I view it as a good price, not the best, but good. I picked mine up for $200 over also, that might be why I feel that way.
If you get a Ford, you can get it for over $10,000 under MSRP.
When you say "invoice", are you talking about MSRP or invoice as in the piece of paper they have in their files OR what you have in hand from say Edmunds.com?
Generally, there's a $5k off from the MSRP and when I bought mine, there was an ADM (I call it Additional Dealer Markup!)
If you got it for $200 over invoice and what they actually took it in inventory, that would be a great deal!
But I think you are talking about MSRP/sticker price and that would be way too much... (assuming you have good credit and can put some money down on down payment...)
PM me if you want further explanation.

Agree, the more option/package on the vehicle, the more room dealer have to play with price. What's the sticker price of your vehicle? Just for references mine is a 05 SE CC 4x2 Texas Titan listed at $33,310. My drive out price was $29,000. If you took out the $2500 TT&L it would be about $26,500. That's almost $7000 of sticker price.
heres what i paid, i dont care who knows, seems some people wont actually say. bought in april. 2005 LE CC, floor mats, sliding x-tender, $28,300 out the door.(including tax, title, tags) i think the sticker was $34,000 and change + dealer market value of $1500 i think. So like $35,000 and change. i thought it was a good deal. but its all what you are willing to pay, and if YOU think its a good deal, its not what everyone else thinks.

The good part is that you're getting a substantial discount and your local dealer is making a fair profit. That's a win - win.
In order for dealers to do well they must make a profit. Your local dealer is no good to you if he goes out of business or is just hanging on.
When it comes to service a selling dealer is, IMO, more likely to make a decision which will help you, when it could go either way.
Most of us go through some buyer's remorse when it comes to buying a major item like a new truck or boat or whatever. I even go through it when I buy a new rod or reel which is very infrequently.
Relax and enjoy your new truck and be secure in the knowledge that you've bought probably the best vehicle for the money available.
