About to buy titan, need some input plzzzzzzzzzzzz ^.~

Currently looking for Titanl SE 4x4 with Graphite/titanium interior, but the dealership only have "Steel" interior. Does any on this board have pics of their interior for the Graphite/Titanuim? Going back to dealer Monday and talk about price.

One other thing, when negotiating do you get close to "invoice" price then apply what ever "Rebate" dealer has. Or subtract the "rebate" off the MSRP then negotiate from there? yea, i'm a noob when it comes to car buying lol

REbate info: 6k off Msrp for Texas Titan Pkg

Model i'm wanting:
2005 Titan King CAb SE 4X4 (Smoke or Red)
Tow Pkg
Popular Pkg Captain Chair
Texas Pkg
Off Road Pkg (Maybe) \(^.^)/

Any feedback is appreciate,
Desmo

Sorry, no pics but I saw both colors today. Steel is a light gray, while graphite is closer to charcoal.

Can't help you on the bargaining question - I lease so it's a somewhat different process. Good luck!

The graphite is quite a bit darker but not black. Doesn't the dealer have any Titans in other colors with the graphite so you can compare in person? I think you should really see the difference in person if at all possible.

The current prices seem to be at or below invoice and then take the rebate on top of that. My dealer was offering no haggle 20% off MSRP with them keeping the rebate last month so a transaction price in the range of 18-20% off whatever the factory sticker is should be in the range.

Buying a Titan

Congratulations on looking to buy a Titan. Please show us the pictures when you get him/her

When buying...
1. Sell your car privately. You'll get more for it. Use that money as a down payment. The more money down, the better the opportunity for leeway.
2. Ask the dealer before you buy what rebates and incentives there are.
3. Do not answer the question "How much of a monthly payment can you afford?" Instead, negotiate the final price. (this includes tax, title, fees, etc.) They get you at the end if you do not.
4. MSRP is inflated by about 15%. Hence, they can "give" you $5,000 off and it seems like they're doing you a favor...

A well equipped Titan 4x4 SE Off Road goes for about $32-33K

5. Bring your credit score with you. Do not have them use it to determine your payment/price!
6. Find a vehicle on lot that has most of the options you want and understand the groupings. If they have to buy your vehicle from another lot, there's goes your opportunity for negotiation.
7. Do not buy "day of" no matter what the line they use. Give yourself time to sit through the decision and bring a friend along to avoid being ganged upon by a sales manager. If it's a good deal today, it will be a good deal tomorrow as well!
8. Negotiate in good faith. Decide how much money you can pay and how you arrived at the final cost. (don't forget to include maintenance, monthly gas, etc. Figure that into your vehicle) You want to be able to drive the rig, not let it collect dust in the driveway...
9. Get everything they say in writing. IF it's not in writing, it doesn't exist.
10. Bring written quotes around to other dealerships to see if which is the best one.

PM me if you would like more explanation.

Have fun!
