water spots.............

Alright, somebody help me. I have well water here and it seems that when the Titan gets a bath, the water leaves scale/spots on the side and rear windows. I have tried window cleaners, newspaper, chamois cloth and it still is there. I've even considered using a razor blade to scrape them. Any ideas, cause it pisses me off when I look thru the windows and see the spots!

I feel your pain, I have well water also. I started using the Mr. Clean car wash kit and it really cut down on the water spots. It uses a filter for the final rinse water. You could also use an "Absorber" to dry after washing.
Stoners liquid glass is the best product that I have used for cleaning glass.

You might try using a clay bar to remove them.

Clay barring will work. You could also use a paint cleaner with some elbow grease.
Also, only wash in the shade, and keep the car wet when washing. After washing each panel, rinse the entire car, not just the panel you washed.

Use Meguires Scratch X...it works quite well and does not leave any scratches or swirl marks on your windows. That is about the only thing I have used that really works, plus it has a similar affect as RainX when the rain does come.

good luck.

I solved the water spot problem years ago and it's very simple, the spots are are mixtures of chemicals in our water. Just dry the windows good with a bath towel(BEFORE THE WATER DRIES) and you'll never have them again.

Guys,

In my youth I would detail cars as a first job and learned a couple tricks.

To remove water marks from your glass you should try a cleaning product called "Bar Keepers Friend". You can purchase it at Wal-Mart in the cleaning section.

This is the only such product I would use as it wont scratch your glass.

Buy the powder and rub a little on at a time in a wet paste

As always try a small area to be sure it causes no problems, but Ive used it on my trucks and cars for years.

Look for a good paste glass wax if all else fails. I've used it for that and it worded great. I never tried the clay bar on glass but.....sounds like it'll do the job. Either way..relax. It does come off.

drying the water with a towel, cost nothing, works 100% of the time, no polishing or buffing, simple as that!

Ever notice when you carry your car to car wash you never have water spots, its because they dry them .

He's absolutely right. This is the best way and it's free. If it's too late, then use the clay bar.
