Return of Seat Squeak II

About fed-up with this nusisance! I've already had my driver's seat frame replaced because of this squeak that occurs when my weight shifts in the seat while driving. It's not a little squeak either!

1 week after I drive out of the service department from the driver's seat frame replacement, my passener seat starts squeaking. 3 weeks later, my part arrives for the passenger seat. My truck is going in on Thursday this week and now, my damn drivers seat is squeaking again!

What the heck is the deal?!

The track assembly? I assume that's what the seat slides forward / backward on? So you've already had your seat frame replaced and that didn't work, huh?

Let me know if they fix it and what they did. My driver's seat was fine for a month, then it started squeaking again this past weekend.

Try this:

Pull the plastic moulding off the driver's rear seat leg. Get someone to set in the seat and sway from side to side. You should hear the squeak. Now, grab the bare metal leg and see if you feel a little vibration with the squeak. I did on mine. The solution was to loosen the bolt at the floor point. The true fix is probably some kind of thin non-metalic shim. Let us know if this works!

I had my seat squeeks fixed by replacing the rubber bushings that go around the bolts threaded to the floor
