Tranny Question

Anyone with the BT notice any gear searching exactly at 30 mph??

I have noticed gear searching and several other rough spots throughout the tranny. I am probably pickier than most and really pay attention to what gear it's in, when the converter engages, etc. and I would rate the shifting of this transmission about a C overall. I have had several problems that I can't replicate in front of the dealer, or course. Basically, I have no interest in owning this truck when the transmission is out of warranty. I will likely sell/trade it in before then (I think it's 60K for powertrain). When I first got the truck I went to the dealer to see if I had a problem. Since I couldn't duplicate it, there is really nothing they could do. I shift it manually a lot, particularly between 3 and 4 when on the freeway, passing, etc. That takes away about 75% of my complaints... After 12K I am not sure if my tranny is a lemon or if they just all do this. Sometimes it clunks, searches, etc. in places I just don't understand. Hope this helps!

I'm at 18K, mines still smooth as silk, and no searching for gears.

No gear searching at 30. Any autotranny will have some point where it wants to move from direct gearing into overdrive and back. Lock-up on and off. But I have no sense of when that is happening in my truck whether at 30 or elsewhere. It's just too smooth in the 4th to OD transition.
