Do you like the Running Boards or not???

What's peoples opinion of the factory installed running boards? I've seen where some people remove them for the more elevated stance it gives you.

What's other opinions of the running boards? You like the look with or without them?

That is a tricky question

I find myself steping over them most of the time. Other times, when I am working on items like replacing the exhaust with the Banks exhaust, they came in handy for holding bolts, nuts, gaskets, exhaust hangers and other items. Great shelves.

The girl I am dating likes them, and uses them all the time to assist in getting in or out of the truck.

Mixed bag of tricks for me. I will keep them on, but I dont use them much.

I originally had no intention of getting them, but I ended up in an LE which came standard with them. I really like them for ease of entry/exit, especially for my wife, daughter, and our Golden Retriever. I also like them for washing/waxing.

My SE CC does not have them...

I dont like the way they look, but it does suck to have to open the door and stand in the seel to wash/dry/or wax the roof...

Hopefully mine will be on the ground soon and this wont matter...

I personally don't like them. Like stated above, I step over them whenever I get into someone's truck that has them. If it is raining your trouser cuffs will drag across them and get muddy every single time. They also reduce ground clearance and get hung up on everything when you are off roading.

However, if you like them get them. Your vote is the only one that counts.

I like them. I think if you have smoke wheels then they look decent there. I don't need them to get in and out but my 5'2" wife looks like she's climbing into the top bunk bed each time she gets in the truck. For her sake I am going to spring for them...

I don't have them YET, but plan on geting them. I'm 5'5" and pushing 50. I'm cool jumping up in my 4X4 Titan now, but I need a step up.

another vote for -- they are handy when washing/waxing. Wife likes them, especially when she wears a skirt. I am kind of indifferent to the look.

I parked mine next to a black CC LE at the dealership and liked the look without them better. I guess it comes down to personal choice. So far no complaints from the wife.

Great if you have kids! Thats the reason I got them - otherwise the kiddies can't get in by themselves.

It was a must have item for the kids but I find myself using them all the time too. It will save the seats from premature wear too. All the sliding off won't be necessary.

I agree. Definitely saves the leather seats. I like the way they look too.

I like them alot. They really help when washing. Family members seem to like them as well when getting in/out of my truck.

I don't like running boards either...too much hanging below the truck. As far as ease of entry or using them to elevate yourself while washing, you all should check out AMP Research. See link below for Titans.

Looks like the price has gone up on the site.. but I'm sure you can do a search and find them cheaper. AMP steps are the same as BESTOP...just FYI.

600lb load rating, much wider platform, and they swing down and out the entire length of the cab.

My tiny wife has no problem getting the kids in or out of my truck and it has a 10.5" lift on it.
