Exclamation Should I jump on this offer...

I'm not a Titan owner yet... but I have been watching this board and learning all I can about the Titan. Finally went shopping since the rebate is currently $2000... too good to past up.

I'm looking at a 2005 SE CC 4X2 w/ following options:

~SE Popular w/ Captain Chair
~ Big Tow Package
~Traction Package
~Utility Bed Package
~Mats

After all rebates, my offer was $25,854 + tax/tags. The dealer counter with $26,368 + tax/tags. Should I jump on that or see if he's willing to drop down another $500

Thanks for the input...

I would shoot for $26000, maybe 26100 plus tax and tags...otherwise, wait until the end of July. I know the $2000 crew rebate is only good until 7/5, but the dealer may be more willing to deal the closer it gets to the 2006's and at the end of the month (basically any month). And maybe there will be another $2000 rebate beginning of next month? Anything can happen.

But then again, you might get it for what you want. It definitley is a tricky situation.

Have you tried any other dealers?

For only a 2WD, I'd hold out for more. Can't hurt.

You should really search through dealers' inventory though nissan's website and email 3 or 4 or 10 or 20 dealers and see what they have to say. The more dealers you email, the better because it lets you see a broader trend of prices and that way you can get a better idea of what's reasonable to ask for.

Of course and most likely, you are not going to get the dealer's *best* price online. There is more pressure on them when you are actually there for them to sell you the truck. The trick is knowing who to go to and who not to bother with. The way you figure that out is by getting a bunch of quotes and sorting through them. Then take your top 2 or 3 or 4 and begin the price war. Hey, that rhymed...cool.

Anyway, I think that is a good way to go about it. You could also tell the dealer that you are going to do some more shopping around and maybe you'll be back. It might be better to say that in person at the dealership...he may bend and sell it to you for what you want it for.

Just make sure they do 95% of the bending.
