Wifey banned from Titan.

Well, It's official. The Titan now has it's first dent. My wife had to take one of our beagles to the vent Wednesday and while she was backing up to the pen to let him out she found a tree. It cut the plastic on the step portion of the bumper and warped the inner steel plate. Not all that much of a deal, but I know it's there and it's bothering the p!ss out of me. I figure I can snap off the plastic cover and flatten out the warp with a sledge hammer and replace the plastic step piece. She was very upset. I didn't make matters any better considering she's pregnant and is on an emotional roller coaster. I guess it is considered a "TRUCK" now beings it's got it's first boo-boo.

EXACTLY!!
Actually, 3. Lift kit, wheels and exhaust. Throw in a "I think you're sexy when you're pregnant" and you're home free.

I have my truck 5 months and my wife had never asked to drive it. The other day we were driving to the Little League field for my son and she said " I forgot my sunglasses, can I take the truck back home (6 blocks away)and get them?" The word came out of my mouth before I realized I said it. Surprisingly she actually didn't give me a about it either. Most likely she'll never ask again. Glad she can't drive a manual trans. or she'd want to drive my toy (1970 Chevelle SS 454) too.

The one option you should add is the back-up sensors!!! Well worth the $300 at the dealer.

What is it about women that they can't/don't want to drive big trucks? My wife is going to have to "practice" driving mine this weekend because I have to go out of town on Tuesday and I'm taking her Odyssey because it gets much better mileage than the Titan so she will have to drive my truck to work and back. I've just told her whatever you do, DON'T try to pull it in the garage...

Mine drove the Titan for the first time in the 15 months I have had it last weekend at the campground. Just a little 5 mph trip back to the camping space while I ran the boat down there (she doesn't like driving the boat and feels the truck is too big). So she hops in, I help her adjust the seat and pedals, and the first thing she does is mash the gas revving it real high (fortunately it was in park), this on a tight gravel road. Then when she put it in gear she lurched forward and mashed the breaks. All kinds of horrible thoughts entered my head, like maybe I should just walk the mile back and get my truck, or maybe I would see it rolling down the embankment as I ran the boat down there. Ugh. She got it there in one piece, but lesson learned. She doesn't want to drive it again (yeah!! Moral victory) and I won't let her, I don't need my blood pressure skyrocketing worrying about how much damage is going to be done to my truck!

My wife doen't mind driving the Titan at all, her first car was a 70 GTO HO. After we got married, we had a Integra GSR modified. She loves the power. Couldn't get her to drive the Silverado, but the Titan is no problem. I don't have to worry about dents, tires and brakes, but not dents.
