Hi there, I got my final brake fix on the titan, and did notice that there is no more brake dust? I was somewhat worried that I got a cheap brake fix from the stealer, but from what people here say is it true that the finak brake fix dont produce brake dust?
THX in advance

Brake dust has been around since the first Disc Brakes (about '65 on american cars). The difference is that most had steel wheels without the large opening that allows the dudt to collect on the outside. Washing regularly is the only way the dust is going away. Sorry, no magic pads.
The only modification during the final brake fix, to the rear brakes is pads. Also the new pads DO considerably reduce the amount of dust on the wheels.

The brake dust accumulating on my wheels is getting to be a PITA. It's to the point now where I have to clean the front wheels every two days. The whole family thinks I'm nuts for cleaning the wheels so much.
It's good to know the latest fix reduces the dust problem considerably. Too bad you still have to take it in for a third time before you get the good brakes.

I got the new brake fix when it first came out and I NEVER have to wash my wheels due to brake dust now. Yes they get regular dirt on them and I wash them, but before the fix I was washing them every 2 or 3 days like "Miketan" I even bought a small electric pressure washer to set next to the truck so I could wash them quickly. My wife thought I had lost it. I couldnt explain what brake dust was to her, she just thought I was possesed by the Titan slave god.

Here's a pic of my front wheel after one week of city driving after getting the new brake fix. I just washed her today, 12 days after the fix, and they looked the same as the pic. What a difference...

We have the new set up as well and come to think of it, we have little dust too!
Like was mentioned, we would have to clean the wheels at least every three days due to the collection of dirt, er, dust.
My guess about the pad thing is this:
The previous pads had to be softer in order to have a greater stopping capacity due to the lack of rotor. Softer pad = more stopping = more dust.
Why do I think this? In motorcycle racing that I do, the more softer the pad the better the bikes stop but the more dust we get. It's a trade off.
Kind of like when you get these cheaper luxury cars.....they sound very quiet but it is because they put softer compound tires on them. Great sound but the tires are gone in just about a year.
When I got the final fix, I didn't wash the tires in 2 weeks.
Before, it used to be every 3-4 days with the old pads
Now its 10-14 days i think

Could you guys list the Nissan replacement numbers for the final brake fix? When I call my dealer this week I want to have the correct information. Oh yeah....the brake dust is a pain!@#$%
