frustrated and happy

hello titan owners. i just got the new brake fix and it seems to working great. much better stopping power. the rotors are nice and thick lik they should be. also, i have been driving with the new brakes for three days with minimal brake dust. gotta love that!!! what i am frustrated as hell with are the rattles my truck makes. i only have 7k miles on my beast but have multiple rattles and ticks. i have the dreaded drivers side door rattle that won't go away. i have been to the dealer three seperate times. the rattle goes away for a day and then comes back with a vengence. i am so freaking mad and frustrated. my rattle seems to be coming from either the left armrest or the door panel itself. i don't buy it's coming from the door seals. i also have a rattle from the back seat. i have a crew cab. that noise seems to be coming from the headliner or window. i'm not entirely sure. they couldn't fix that one either. does anyone else have this rattle and have you come up with a solution. i would be forever grateful if someone could help me. these rattles are driving me crazy. i love this truck to death but need to fix these rattles. thanks, titanrookie

Hey Titanrookie,

Here is a link to get you started as far as rattles go: window rattle after window TSB

Use the search function and type in Rattles and it will pull up a bunch of topics on that subject. Hope this helps.

Yeah, those links should help you, just take my advice and don't let the rattles and ticks bother you. I mean, take care of them the best that you can, but don't let them bug you too much. I've had the dealer fiddle around with the middle dash, it still rattles. I even disassembled it myself and we stuffed foam padding in, around many of the wiring bunches that were vibrating against each other. I also took it in for the window TSB, that surprisingly has fixed that problem. I'm still getting dash rattles and even a seat squeak, but I've resigned myself to being patient while my service guy painstakingly chases these elusive annoyances for me. The truck just has too many positives for me to let the minor stuff bug me.
By the way, welcome aboard.

I definitely agree with CoachBoone, don't let it bother you so much. Fix what you can and let the dealer take care of the rest. Enjoy your Titan.

Back seat - check your jack under the seat, a lot of the time it is not tight against its bracket. I agree with the rattles and Titan, I got dash rattles, rear door trim rattle. It seems as it is now hotter they rattle less then when its cold out.
