I've NEVER seen a JET "chip" do much of anything at all...

Proof is in the pudding... so let me be the first to say "Why should I part with my money for the Jet chip?"

I think you tell them what mods you've got and they flash it accordingly....you won't be able to program it yourself. If you add any significant mods, you'd have to get it re-flashed each time. It's cheaper than the Unichip ($800), but at least the Unichip is a piggy back, so you just unplug it and you're back to stock while you send it back to have it re-flashed after adding more mods. Or you can take it in for custom dyno programming at an authorized Unichip perf shop.

I'll gladly wait to see what Hypertech will be doing for us with their release...although I just heard from John at socalmotorsports at the other site that it probably is not going to be the Power Programmer....bummer. Hypertech is working on getting this done for the Titan/Armada, but John suggest we all flood them with emails to bump it up to the top of their projects list.

Hypertech told me it will most likely be the HyperPAC.

I've done the chip thing (non-programmer) before, and its a pain in the arse if you continue to make changes to your truck. All the reflashing ends up costing an arm and a leg. I'm going to wait, a year if I have to, until a programmer is available, even if it costs $800. By the looks of it, the HyperPAC will be worth it.

I would never ever put something made or allegedly made by jet in any vehicle I own. Basically you are giving your money to charity without the tax break.

My dad coughed up the 399.. for his frontier a couple years ago. I think it ran weaker and burned more fuel than before the chip upgrade.
buyer beware!!
