Bedliner Bubble Repairs

Not to single some of you out, but I am looking at next week sometime for repairs to be done at the dealership. I noticed that some have already had this done, with mixed results. Nissan sent the dealership a "Kit" to do the repairs on site. Has anyone had this done? and with what type of results? I am willing to give them a shot at doing it before I get upset, but I don't think a car dealership is wholy qualified to do bedliners. Let me hear from ya

Nissan will not replace beds anymore. They do have that kit which is about $400.00. The result does work, but might be a little darker depending on fade.

I had the bed replaced by the dealer a year ago. I haven't have the same issue crop up again.

My nephew installs bedliners at a customizing place and said the fix for a bubbling bedliner is to inject a type of glue similar to super glue using a syringe. He said that this is a good fix. I don't know if the Nissan dealerships are doing this.

They sent my truck off to another place and they scraped up the bubbling parts and then re-sprayed the whole thing.

Rhino Replacement

My dealear sent my truck off to a Rhino Liner shop to sanblast the old liner and replace with Rhino's system. They must not have prepped the bed good b/c after 2 weeks I had more bubbles than the factory liner did. I'm taking it in tomorrow for round 2. If they still can't fix it, I'm going to push for a new bed.

I'm still waiting for the final outcome on this one as well. I took my truck in almost two months ago with a blistering bed liner. They said that the bed would have to be replaced. Two weeks later they called and said to bring the truck in that corporate wanted to see pictures. My service writer said it would take around a month and a half for the new bed to arrive.
Sooooo i'm still waiting. This is hunting season and to tell ya the truth I don't have time to take it in for repairs right now, but hopefully I will hear somthing in the near future.

Dula Titan: Tell the dealer you want LINE-X. Rhino is much more sensitive to moisture (which can cause bubbles). LINE-X contains polyurea, which keeps moisture out of the resin. Also, LINE-X dealers heat up the truck bed before they spray to evaporate any moisture.
