Made a bed cover!
Whoo Hooo! (Sure hope these pics load!!)
Wifey and I made a bed cover. The pics tell the tale. It's made of wood with mostly brass hardware. Padded with closed cell foam and covered in black vinyl. Since these pics were taken I added two lift cylinders and re-inforced the hinge area to live with the added stress. Tis Nice! It lifts itself off and opens fully on it's own. These pics also show the rear window protector we made for the truck. Tomorrow we are off on a 6,000 mile trip cross country and back.... Wish us luck! Pretty cool. Slick. Say is that stiching work on the edges? Man that's gotta take a heavy duty finger to push that needle through.

The stitching is in a seam right over where it hinges. That was done by a friend. The edges are just rolled and stapled, then trimed. Easy methods for simple old minds. Works for me!
