Installed my PML diff cover yesterday

I received my PML diff cover on Friday and was able to get it installed yesterday. The cover fit perfectly and the build quality was very nice; it definitely made the stock steel cover look like a real POS (see pic).

I was a little surprised that the as-cast finish actually looks white... installed, it almost looks more like ceramic than aluminium. Maybe it wil turn gray over time?

The PML cover is much deeper than the stock cover (see pics). There is still plenty of room between the cover and the spare tire, though. It took exactly 3 quarts of Mobil1 75W-140 to fill to capacity.

(Pardon the Banks money shots.)

It looked much better than it did when I switched from the factory fill to Mobil1 75W-90 about 14,000 miles ago. It was still grayish, but was still somewhat translucent and the magnetic plug didn't have nearly as much gunk on it.

I used Permatex Black RTV. Seemed to be the best stuff I could find.
