Bug Guard Quality

I asked the Nissan Dealer about installing a Bug Guard on the Titan and he said none are available as there are current quality issues and there are no OEM Bug Guards as Nissan gets them second hand as everyone else.

Does this sound about right?
Is purchasing any Bug Guard made to fit a Titan as good any other Bug Guard or is there a brand/make that is better than another?

I ordered mine from Lee Auto Mall Parts, which is I believe a Nissan Dealer for $70.00 plus shipping. No problems what so ever after 9 months. Looks good.

I would think that any protector from the major manufacturers would be ok however. Sounds like your dealership isn't interested in customer service...

I think your dealer was feeding you a line of BS. I purchased an OEM bug deflector earlier this week from a Nissan dealer....it had "Nissan" clearly identifed in large letters as well as with the Nissan logo on the box.

T-Rex from ClubTitan (who we met at the NE meet last weekend) has the Nissan bug deflector and he loves it. No flex, rattle or any other issues.

Seeing his, and hearing his experience convinced me that I want one. (I've had other w/other trucks that did rattle & flex.)

I've got a Nissan guard and it has held up to triple digits numerous times, includes hitting the limiter at least a dozen times. Moves alot less than my wifes pilots guard at those speeds.

OEM, Lund and more are coming out. Go to Advance, Auto Zone or any auto accessory store. Stay away from the dealership for most aftermarket parts, they'll charge you a small fortune. Prices at Auto Zone and the other auto part stores range from 59 - 79.

Those stainless ones are pretty cool, wish I had considered one before going with the factory smoke one...I just wish somebody would come out with the deer, dog, disgarded retread semi-trailer tire, and frozen chicken deflector.
