What do you guys think about a Tundra?

We test drove one and that is now what my dad wants. What is the 0-60 time of the one with 282 horsepower V8. What is the 0-60 time of the titan? Also what do you think about the Tundra.

I heard the Tundra is like a camry in a truck, rides and looks inside like a camry. Just what I have heard from Tundra buyers/lookers.

If you a "truck" get the Titan

Neighbor's boyfriend has a green Tundra crew cab. Personally I think the Titan looks tougher. Just my opinion though. But I did test them as well, seemed a little to car'esk for me.

Nicer fit and finish than the Titan, and as a Toyota Tacoma owner, I wouldn't bet that the Nissan would be more reliable either since my Tacoma has been great. The HP number doesn't tell the whole story though. The Titan is down almost a full liter on the Titan (4.7) and isn't as torquey (325 lb ft. vs. the Titans 379). I test drove a crew cab before I bought the Titan, and the difference is noticable. The Tundra feels very refined, but overall feels like a 7/8 scale truck compared to the Titan.

The Tundra is an old truck since it is on its last year before a redesign. They will be much better when the new design starts to roll off the assembly line in San Antonio.

When will the new design take place?

I looked very hard at the Taco, It was a mental show down before I went to the Taco dealer and test drove one. It reminded me size wise of a Dodge Dakota. Its not really full sized, more mid sized. So that was my first drawback. The second was the power. Its way down from the Titan. The Taco drives like a nice car should. Its smooth and refined feeling. Doesnt have that tough truck feel to it.

If you are looking for more of a commuter car the Taco is the way to go. If your looking for a TRUCK buy the TITAN. Also look carefully at the Taco's tow capacity its about 3000lbs down on the Titan.

Small, underpowered, slow, boring, old design. Was probably 4th on my list of trucks I'd get, after Titan, Ford, and Dodge. With a 0-60 of 1.5-2 seconds slower depending on where you get your stats and options and a 4.7 liter motor, low tow rating, and its 3/4 full size size, its not my cup. The only thing you get from it vs. other trucks is relability. Course nowadays you get that from most anyway. Car and Driver thought so also and it came in behind the 3 I mentioned. Titan was first. If that doesn't cinche it for him, let him know they are coming out with a new Tundra for '07 and the value of a '05 or '06 will plummet.

Toyota makes great quality. I love my Titan but I wouldn't have regretted it if I would have bought Tacoma. It was my first choice. They just didn't have the rebates that Nissan had.

Tundra is a great truck, I considered one when buying my Titan. Unless you need more towing capacity it's really a matter of taste IMHO.
