Hi Gary

I hope you will decide to buy the Titan. I think you have a little room to negotiate a little lower price. When I bought mine it was a fully loaded LE, mind you an 04, not an 05. But it was a Crew Cab also with DVD and Nav. Literally every available option. I was able to walk out the door with the 7-70 extended warranty, Tax plate transfer etc........ for 33,000

So I think you can push the dealer around a little more. Plus its a demo with 6k on it, mine had under 50 miles on it.

Go get em tiger! Come home with that Titan for 28 or 29 out the door!

Dude you would be nuts to buy a used truck for 30K. EVERYONE has Employee Discount pricing. I paid 27K for my Z71 Chevy 4x4 which lists at 35K normally. Dude get something new! And dont pay more than 4.99% interest!

Yeah, I agree with TitanTough. I wouldn't buy it. 6K miles is alot for a demo. If money is an issue, then step down to an SE and get a BRAND NEW truck. You'll thank yourself later. You gotta figure that the dealership owner probably ragged on it during those 6K miles.

It is a BUYERS market! So I agree - buy NEW! With the BIG-3 all selling at Employee Discount pricing - this puts you into the drivers seat to name your price. Shop around brother! I bought a Dodge Demo (fancy way of saying used) for too much many years back. Your hearing the opinion of someone who has already lived and learned!

I understand what you guys are saying. This truck is VERY clean and hasn't even been detailed yet, plus with a 35K sticker, I'm actually paying like 27K before TT&R. I've always been a Chevy guy and this would be my first jap truck, but I just have no interest to buy another Chevy...nothing excites me about it. I have a full warranty on it starting the day I drive it off the lot, and 3.9% apr. If I could get a new one for this deal, I would, but I don't see that happening....anyone else get 8K off there sticker?

Every truck in America is selling for Employee Discount. Dude I paid 27K which includes everything for a 35K truck.

I am just sharing my experience. A Dealer Demo is a fancy way of saying USED! Nobody should have to buy a used anything in a BUYERS market. Hence why the home market is still booming. Why buy a old used home if you can buy a new home for the same price!

Do not let the dealer jade you over and make you believe there are no choices out there. Unless you live in B.F.E. and you really have no choice.

My 2 cents ... with experience in what your about to do. Just remember DEALER DEMO is a fancy way of saying USED!!!

Gary, Buy the Titan but I know you can get a lil more off. I got 6k off mine because the dealer wanted it off his lot ( a 04 this May 05 ). I went back and forth for 3 days and he finally bit the bullet and did what he could to let me get the truck.

6k is miles is alot for a demo and who know how they drove it like what miketan said.

I submit that truck sales for ALL truck dealers is a tough market right now. The BUYERS market cannot be disputed. Fact is the Big-3 are all offering Employee Discount. Like I said I paid 8K less than MSRP. Plus had a 3K CASH REBATE. Trust me I love my Titan - and my new Z71. I bought them both new. I would never suggest someone buy such an expensive rig USED!

Demo=Used (No Ifs, Ands, or Buts)

If you buy a demo you are buying a used truck. Ok I think I made my point about that.

Also, you are automatically disqualifying your ability to take a Section 179 deduction if you plan on using the rig for business purposes. HUGE tax reduction! Now you have shot yourself in the foot TWICE.

New Titan

Hi Gary,

Vector's right on!

You can ask for a bit more especially with a KC LE. (Especially if you don't go through them with financing.)

Welcome to Titan Ownership!

Do NOT pay more than 4.99%. How you got 3.99% is beyond me. Interest went up over 2 weeks ago. Did you start the deal back then?

3.9 is the best apr that Nissan offers right now with good credit according to the website. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow(closed)to look a t a few news ones with the same options. We'll see...no deal done yet! Actual cost would be 29,800 OTD to be exact.

A Chevy with the same options, will run at least 28K plus TT&R. They offer 3K cash back, OR lower financing....if I can get 3K cash AND 2.9 for 5 yrs, I'd be ok with buying another Chevy. TitanTough1....are your trucks set up about the same? What was the OTD price of the Chevy? Did you get 3K cash back and good financing?

Gary, I got mine new with 18 miles for 20% off MSRP before tax tags and license and without the discounted Nissan financing. The dealer will make more if you let them finance you thorugh a local credit union or bank (they get a kickback) so if they can discount more it may still save you in the long run even with a 5 or 6% interest rate. Also be very certain about what you are saying about the warranty starting the day you drive it off the lot. Every demo I have ever bought, and I've bought a few, had the warranty start on the 'in service' date which is the date the dealer put it in demo service. If you are losing close to a year on warranty have them throw in another year of Nissan extended warranty.
